"I Don't Want WHO Deciding What Happens In Our Country!" | Monkeypox Declared Health Emergency

UK health officials have said they are preparing for any potential cases of a new strain of mpox after the World Health Organisation declared outbreaks of the virus in Africa a global emergency.

The strain, known as clade 1b, emerged in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) said there are currently no cases of the virus in the UK.

Mpox, previously known as monkeypox, is passed on through close physical contact, including during sexual contact, kissing, cuddling or holding hands.

Talk’s Julia Hartley-Brewer is joined by Dr Chris Smith to discuss what the new WHO announcement means for Britain.

  1. Anyone who has had the Smallpox vaccine has a good level of immunity to Mpox. Why is this not mentioned. Anyone born before it was stopped in 1971 should have had the smallpox vaccine, it usually leaves a circular scar on the upper arm. Also possible if you travelled abroad., it is recommended for some countries, just check for the scar or ask the doctor/nurse as it will be in your medical records. UK info.

  2. What rubbish this man is spouting, just like last time. They knew very well that β€˜these (ridiculous) measures’ were never going to work and were just delighted how quickly the public were conned, manipulated, gaslit and brainwashed.

  3. WHO has lost its fair image and it no longer wins the hearts of people as a credible Organisation. The present Boss is a white collar goonda who is to be shown the door sooner than later to salvage the old image at least partially. But who will Bell the Cat?

  4. Dr Peter McCullough, interviewed by Dr Drew gave a much less alarming picture but also suggested gain of function could be implicated again! He also said that an antiviral was proving very effective at treatment. The usual suspects are likely involved in ramping up the actual threat and the perception of it.
