Today we do the Trace of Metal quest to get a Sentinel AI friend and Mech suit for our Minotaur Exocraft then we add on the Liquidators Mech parts including a flamethrower!

  2. Would be nice to ha e a few episodes going forward …seeing you ship hunt with the minotaur etc. Like you show us how to get set up, but not why we would set up. Yeah i know you get bored and lose i terest…but maybe a few episodes ?

The reason they give you the schematic for the Exocraft summoning station at the beginning of this mission is so that you don't have to keep whipping out your Minotaur Geobay every time you land on a planet in the same system. Of course the freighter exocraft station would serve the same purpose, but you do need to leave 1 Minotaur geobay somewhere or it will say you don't own a minotaur when you try to summon it in with the X menu.

  7. All the Anomaly NPC residents are named for ancient Greek (demi)gods or heroes; 'Teethis' should be pronounced 'Tethys' as spelled (& you got right once) 🙂

    The Paralysis Mortar b/p you gained from the quest should include the similar upgrade for the Minotaur. Like all Minotaur weapons it chews thru ammo when in combat (its major disadvantage IMO; ensure you have plenty reloads in the mech!), but it still can be useful to have an autonomous mech throwing paralysis bombs around in combat, despite its poor chance to hit! 🙂

    If you get the Freighter mech bay upgrade you won't need to carry around the necessary plates etc to make individual stations per planet: simply summon your freighter to your current system (WHICH DOESN'T REQUIRE/USE FUEL IN THE FREIGHTER) & call whichever craft you wish as required. This method /does/ require at least 1 appropriate exocraft pad to exist, tho, so build one at your settlement or some other remote place & forget about it 🙂

    Mech AI can be turned off without uninstalling (likewise your new drone, Laylaps), but I forget the key to do it ATM 🙁

  9. can someone explain the point of the minotaur (save just looking cool). When your multitool shreds (like bob's does) … why ever both with the minotaur? does it shred MORE? are it's protective qualities worth the hassle of teleporting it in? I have mine fully upgraded after this quest line and it just sits there at my base looking pretty.

  10. Thanks for the video. If you did not know, the freighter exocraft summoning station is available 2 places. On the Anomaly for 1 salvaged data, or on the freighter for 1 salvaged frigate module.

  11. Guilds are now connected to Regions in Space. If you are in XY region (you can see that on the galaxy map), the guild will be the same in all of the region's systems. Travel to another region to find another Guild.
