  1. Something that gets lost in the Dan Campbell fourth down takes is that the Lions don't have Jason Hanson anymore. The Lions kicker was missing low-mid 40 yarders regularly, nothing about "take the points" was automatic.

  2. My bias is telling me that the Vikings are easily the most cursed, but the Browns are up there. When their original team relocated to Baltimore, they started becoming successful

  3. By the way Tom phrased it, Lions. All the heart wrenching losses to very bad officiating or obscure rules then when you are for the first time since your current ownership bought the team on the day both cs Lewis died and Kennedy was assassinated you are in an actual super bowl window as a favorite, the world ends. I cannot think of a more cursed thing to happen to a team

  4. The trophy for the only championship the Vikings have ever won is sitting in a case in Green Bay cause the Packers didn't feel like giving it up. And they traded a dynasty to the Cowboys. I can't think of anything that tops those two things. Edit: Oh, I already did. Field goals. Not only the 90s attempt by a kicker who hadn't missed a kick the entire season, but other teams have an amazingly high completion rate for fieldgoals against the vikings.

  5. The Vikings are the all-time 5th-winningest team in the NFL Superbowl era.
They are the ONLY team of the top 50% of winningest NFL teams to not have at least 1 Superbowl win.

  6. This is all dumb. As far as QB goes, SF had Montana and Young. Thats without even mentioning the best receiver of all time. Makes you wonder if any of these people even know what a football looks like!

  7. The Browns are the number one most cursed, then the Lions and then the Cards. The Cardinals at least made a SB in my 27 years of life, but it doesnโ€™t even feel right that the Browns and Lions are good right now

  8. the Green bay packers have the most wins in the league, 4 superbowls, the superbowl trophy is named after our most famous coach, we're the only team without a billionaire owner and because of our ownership situation the team will never leave, and 32 years of HoF quarterback play with the promise of more? yeah the Green Bay Packers are good contenders for most blessed franchise in history.

  9. Yes, this is NFL, but I'll top it all minnesota Sports fans have had so much pain. I saw someone cry about the mets… the Twins lost 18 consecutive playoff games (13 of them to the Yankees), the worst steak in North American sports history. Top that. I'll wait.

Timberwolves have been poverty and only had one big name player in Kevin Garnett, and he hates Glen Taylor and refuses to even come to games or get in jersey retired.

The North stars leave for dallas and find success right away basically, and the Wild always lose first round if they make it

Now the Vikings. They've drafted a few good QBs, but the only one to find big success was Fran, who took us to 4 SBs lost all 4. The Hail Mary play was invented against the Vikings. 41-0 against the Giants. Oh yeah, a kicker who hadn't missed in 2 years misses the kick that sends us to a SB. Blair Walsh wide left. Daniel Carlson starts off bad. Zimmer cuts him. Now he's a top kicker. Brett Favre across the body and bounty gate.. now McCarthy. First rookie QB drafted first round to miss a season due to injury since 1967……

On a side note, the Twins drafted David Ortiz, and now nobody remembers because the Twins wouldn't let him be himself, and he went to Boston, and the rest is history. Kevin Garnett had to leave here to win the NBA title.. so take the Vikings luck and copy and past it to all 4 of our major sports teams anytime that any of the 4 teams are good and have hope something happens or they just shit the bed and lose. So Minnesota across the board is the most tortured state for pro sports

Detroit- Pistons just before MJ, Tigers have won in the 2000s

Cleveland- LeBron and the Cavs run that did lead to 1 ring.

AZ- the Dbacks have won, and they just made the WS last year
