i still prefer initial d. thats litterly the only anime i like. anime used to be good but now its all in another wotld or cant return to the other world or same stuff over and over. hence: i stopped watching anime unless its a really good one. like initial d for example. i can watch it a millions times and it never gets old.
I love the two faced mc in this anime. He can be very friendly and nice or put up a act of being scared and vulnerable. And when you in his reach his sadistic side take over. I would put him above the the mc of the healer anime (you know what one) bc the healer is always himself (character trait wise). This guy tricks you into anything by being very two faced. While both are the real him. It might have to do with his backstory in japan (its a isekai ^^).
That was the moment i became a fan of this anime. Most others would have the "until we meet again" moment play out straight. We kind of expect it by now. But this is not that kind of story. Our guy isn't letting any threats get a second chance 🫸 💥 ☠️
Now that's the difference between a warrior and a killer. A warrior, too narrow minded and no subtlety. And they keep to some phantom concept called honor and glory. And they want to treat beating their opponent like it's a great achievement. Now a killer, a killer gets the job done cold clean methodical and thorough. And a real killer, wouldn't have shown his back to his opponent like that.

In the MC case here rather than him being strong it's that his status effect spells are strangely strong. Usually those spells have a high chance of failure no matter the level which is why he wa labelled as an e rank but for some reason the MC has a 100% hit rate chance. Also he's mad at the goddess who labelled him an E rank and threw him in a dungeon where she sends all the troublesome people to die.
This anime has turned out considerably better than I thought it would be. I came into the show with low expectations due to the title and the overall common set-up. While it does share some tropes with many other animes, this show does it better then most.
