When you think of the ultimate Off Grid road trip in Australia, for most, Cape York would have to be right at the top of that bucket list – and for good reason too! 🤩
Last time you saw us, we were battling our way through the flooded NSW outback in a last attempt to recover the vans. With a successful recovery done & the vans back in tow, it’s time to chase some drier conditions & head north…

The typical Cape York trip is to barrel up North, onto the PDR, up the Old Tele Track & to the tip. For us though, we’re doing things a little differently… we’re planning to tackle the Cape BUT avoiding the PDR at ALL COSTS with the goal to reach one of Australia’s most iconic pubs that Graham’s never been to! 🍻

Good stuff Graham. You've aged well.
I love these episodes! As a Canadian it's great to hear and see the history of Australia. I also love the touring with the Caravans, there is an Opus dealer up here that I want to go visit. Dream is to haul the family around Canada and Alaska and then go down to Baja Mexico. Very inspired by this show, thank you for your hard work!
Used to run trucks through atherton tablelands.
That road is actually australias windiest road.
Try and get to the Kajabbi pub in North West QLD. It’s a cracker.
Well it's not secret any more……..
You should go to the Daly Waters pub NT and check out the junk yard.
You’s should visit Heart Break Hotel in McArthur region when you go to west arnum land! Proper good spot.
How’s the scoring on the Pedders disc brake conversion rotors… Awkward.
I always thought Lappa pub was south of mount mulligan, aren't they supposed to be heading north to the cape and didn't they go to Mount Mulligan first ?
Off grid location for you to explore Currawinya national park, adding Hungerford pub as part of the trip.
You may have been Graham… but get out to the Ironclad Hotel.
Yaraka Hotel is a must
At 32:32, it looked like were you running low on oil and fuel 🫣🫣🫣🫣
We started our tele track on 4th July. Had a blast. But I'm thinking your route looks even better!!
