  1. Have you ever used the Caron Cotton Cakes? I bought a vouple but the texture is really different. It says that it is a 4 weight but it's very small and the feel is so different. It says 60% cotton and 40% acrylic.

  2. WOW! What great gifts. A church friend's daughter needed to get rid of "some" yarn and wanted me to have it. Well the "some" yarn was the back end of a Ford Bronco full. It was truly jaw dropping just as your 5 boxes full are. Have a blast and share some with Gram, I know she had her eye on some of it. Happy Crocheting!

  3. Fantasticc haul Cody and I love the blanket you are making. I am hopeless at starting in the round and prefer rows. You have inspired me to try the rectangle blanket. I hope you get some yarn too Glenda🙏😊

  4. For storage I found clear zipper blanket bags on Amazon. I like that better than the hard side plastic bins. Some are thinner depth to slide under beds are perfect depth for big cakes, still have cleat visability as well as dust proof but breathability

  6. Beautiful yarn thanks for sharing.. it's so nice that Cody can spend time with you Glenda his grandma, that time together is precious for both of you. I like storing my yarn in clear plastic totes as well. I would recommend that and sometimes I use the larger reusable tote bags since I've run out of clear plastic totes. I also did an inventory spreadsheet online of my yarn. I don't have it all in there but I try to update it when I can but it's easier for him to start it now. I list the yarn name, brand, color ways, colors, if I know the price and where I bought it from, the yarn weight and the yardage. I hope that helps. I have made a shawl with the lionbrand mandala sequin yarn it came out very nice. I'd made a shawl or scarf with the big thick jumbo 7 yarn.. I've made fingerless gloves and scarves with the Lionbrand ferris wheel yarn and I've seen beautiful blankets made from it (ripples and wave patterns) or in tunisian crochet.

  7. Hi Cody & Glenda. What an amazing surprise of all that gorgeous happy mail unboxing . Cody I love the amazing colors & types of yarn you received. I can't wait to see what you make first. I also love how your blanket turned out. From a distance, it looks like a quilt. Yes, I agree with Glenda, that clear totes will work best to store your yarn . ❤️

I just finished my eighth blanket this year, I've been making Christmas presents for my daughters, granddaughters and I now need to come up with gift ideas for my son and grandson. WOW, Coty you are set up for quite a few projects.♥🧶God bless, be safe and stay well. Oh and get hooking!

  10. Cody you and your grandma deserve so much love. You could make pillows or a very warm lap blanket with the #7 yarn because it gets cold where you are. That was very nice of everyone who sent them!
