  1. India needs to run operation against domestic enemies who are in opposition parties like congress, tmc, sp, kerala, and against those who take bribes and engage in corruption so army can get latest equipment in speed. India is 1000 times behind China alone let alone other nations. All while politicians steal the resources and army personal ends up working to protect the corrupt in parliament.

  2. In the time of war we are reliant on HAL who can't even produce 2 jets per year and thn DRDO chairman comes about and talks about AMCA and TejasMk2 this is a joke these people must be fired and Government must scrap all the orders from these Corrupt people and give it to Tata or Adani groups. Otherwise we will never see AMCA in reality.

  3. Appalling to see that DD's broadcast quality hasn't improved in 76 years.

Compared with the likes of similar public broadcast systems like BBC, PBS, Al Jazeera, etc., DD is a complete embarrassment.

Par for the course for Indian PSU's…..

  4. India is the number one fake news/ misinformation spreading country in the world. They do it in 119 countries by 750 outlet. Source: world economic forum. Indian people have rights to know. DD should make reports on such criminal agenda.

  5. Sir, we need to get 5th gen fighters on urgent basis until the AMCA production is initiated. I think we need to buy 2 squadrons of F-35 and 1 squadron of SU-75 or SU-57. We also need to get more AWACs. Also it is said that Naval fleet is essential for winning battles. So we need to add more destroyers and a 3rd aircraft carrier. INDIAN infantry need to urgently get the Javelin hand held AGMs and high quality head gear, night vision devices, better body armour and modern machine guns and heavy armour vehicles to prevent casualties. We also need to accelerate the nuclear stockpile to match Chinese. The defence industry like DRDO must be privatised and we need to plan to induct private work force. Large software talent pool should be allowed to join defence sector. It is better for IT professionals to work for our country rather than the American companies. The government should seriously think on these lines.

  6. First of all, the geopoliticians are ignorant of the type of wars fought in the world last centuries. General Anil Chauhan's contention that WW2 was the biggest war fought. But that was a conventional war fought at the sea level and not a mountain warfare. fought India in Kargil in the year 1999. This war was fought using military equipment designed to be used at sea level. All these artillery guns are not designed to be used where the mountains are steep. Due to steep ridges, the guns had to fire in the high-angle mode in Batalik which reduced accuracy. "There was hardly any scope for artillery direct-fire mode in Batalik. The terrain was far tougher in Batalik and the altitudes of the ridges were higher. Batalik is a village and military base in Ladakh, India, located in a narrow section of the Indus River valley, close to the Line of Control with Pakistan-administered Baltistan. Let us not look at the world. Every country is unique. Length of the mountainous range. 3488 +320 = 3808 km. Up to 2014 no Govt. try to develop military hardware suitable for mountain warfare. This is due to the ignorance of the Indian people. The result is causality of soldiers and war expenditure are going up. Ballistic missiles are of no use in mountain warfare. India requires precision-guided missiles not Ballistic missiles
