Forgot that outside of the expeditionnthe horrors dont attack at every waypoint. Those kill counts are too easy when the horrors count 😉
I took a fairly basic save that i started fresh in exp 12 and threw it into the current (14) expadition. I completed exp 14 and am hanging out waiting on the community milestones to drop and since you come into an expadition fresh, I was pretty much starting from 0. I have a freighter the 4 frigates ( comes with one and i claimed the previous expaditon 3 ) close to 200 mil and 100k nanites ….i grabbed me a new sentinal ship i liked have decked that and am just collecting upgrade modules to take back with me ( about 20 of each type …frigate exo suit ship storage and multi tool) been kinda hoot to see how much loot i can gather to bring back
I like frigate fleets myself but seriouslee is right as far as it goes. With a good frigate fleet I never have to worry about cash. They bring back a fair amount of units and once you have a supply of the goodies they bring back it can all be sold. If you want a fleet of starships for yourself they do bring back storage augmentations pretty regularly to upgrade your ships.

When you start working on your squadron I got a cool tip for ya! If you find exotic ships or just really cool ones you cqn sell the ship to a npc then hire them and they'll have the ship you sold them. Makes for a cool "customization" on squadrons
I think with your fleets, The higher rated to the mission at hand determines what rewards you get. So, if you send out a five star fleet on a two-star mission, not so much rewards. But if you send a 5 star to a four star, the rewards get larger I have found. At least for me. But what do I know……..I'm just a BoB…….
I do the frigate missions as well. I like having at least a few living frigates in my fleet. Over all, you do get pretty good loot as well as them bringing in some salvaged frigate modules and other types over time. It's worth it to me.
Bob If you keep shooting at a frigate after you do the cargo pods you have a chance to get a fleet upgrade module or a frigate module.

I do frigate missions i usually send them off when i log on and do collection and resend off everytime next i log back in again. You get a lot of stuff for them and they also bring in things like salvage frigate modules, ship storage modules so on on occasion it would be nice if missions scaled based off your fleets over all skill level cause i have full fleet of S ranks and ive never seen a 5 star mission. But over all its free money, sellables and augmentation slots.
I have watched every second of this series and have just started a new game because of this series for the first time in 3 years yesterday. I am about 6 hours in, and relearning the basics. I need to know what to get involving multitool upgrades, ship upgrades and how to make easy nanites. I’m okay with the easy currency with the ship selling technique and other easy things but am not very good with nanites and can never afford anything. any knowledge will help thank you!
I like to have enough frigates to max out the missions board all at once. And man, it really pays off in the end. Max out your fleets with defenses and support, as they really make a difference.
But at the end of the day, Wow you can really rake in the bucks and materials. In my last run, I had two frigate missions yield 2 frigate modules each. Thats never happened before.
But, ya….. It pays well.

Incidentally that actually resulted in snowballing my credits to 900 million and close to 90k of nanites.
I give up eventually and settled for a lesser configuration.

The way I feel about frigate missions, is it's like being a landlord, generating rental income. Some maintenance is occasionally required, but mostly you just sit back and reap the rewards. Also I like watching the frigates level up over time. The one thing I really hate about frigates is repairing industrial frigates. I hate the ladders. Although I finally realized you don't need to go all the way to the top to repair them, just repair while on the ladder. Reduces my fear of missing the platform on the way down.

I wish, if you made a faction angry a lot, like the Gek for example, that they would send bounty hunters or put a bounty on your head.
So far having a negative faction rank, seems to do nothing in game. Do they even charge you more because they dislike you?
Another thing I'll point out about frigate missions. I seem to get a lot of "gifts" as rewards, I assume based on the system your freighter is in, since I seem to be getting of ton of korvax casings while I'm parked in a korvax system.

I find salvage frigate modules when I do the crashed freighters on planets, you recover them or multi tool upgrade mods.
You mentioned in one of you earlier videos that when you use an echo locator to find one of those camps that have the sentinel multi tool and computer to find sentinel ships that you can use it up to 3 times. I'm doing that right now and I'm thinking there is no limit on how many times you can use the same camp. I'm up to 9 ships and counting from a single echo locator. So much better than using one echo locator for one ship lol.
I been saying that for years. If you have negative standing with a race in NMS they should put bounty’s on our heads and make it hard to get to the space station. (Of course you could teleport to avoid it, but where’s the fun in that. It be great to just be at war with a race (gek) )and they keep raising the bounty. And the traders don’t trade with you at the station. Only the GTT and traders on the planets.
Awesome series! Bet i watched the videos like 10 times by now while i play myself 😂 which is why I have a big ask for you…. You make Starship combat look so easy! Is the camera set to tethered or what are your settings looking like for that? Do you use autopilot at all? I constantly feel like I'm spinning around and have to repair at least one module after each fight…. 😢 Pls send help so I can be awesome like a bob!
