  1. I will bet my whole life that the boar sequence is scripted.

I agree with the rest of what is mentioned too. Will be a game that has plenty of fun im sure, but ultimately doesnt really bring the zombies franchise forward in any meaningful way like bo3. And, if its true theyve only had a year of development, then were gonna get cold war 2.0 with waiting months for any content wt all.

  2. Having watched the trailer and the footage that’s been released, as a Cold War Zombies fan I do feel like they ticked a lot of really solid boxes this year.

The sole focus on Round Based, GobbleGums being free. Save and Quit IS HUGE for Zombies. And then there’s the return of a playable crew (which I do hope is its own playlist). The “Guided Mode” (which releases some time after the Egg is solved by the community) meaning we can return to more complex eggs is great too. HUD editing is also pretty class.

Obviously, it’s speaking to me because I loved CW. Between the campaign & Zombies: I’m pretty stoked.

  3. I think this video is overly negative in the sense you expected very very radical changes and were disappointed that they aren't here. Like you're surprised that they're using the same pack a punch machine? It's practically always looked like that and cold war just have everything a visual reset. Why would that change that? I personally love the lovecraftian horror on an island vibe.

  4. We should all be able to recognize that Zombies trailers are known to exaggerate in game content when its not showing actual gameplay. Perhaps loadouts from the get go are back, or perhaps theyre just showing off cool gameplay like they have in literally every trailer ever including the likes of SoE and Origins. Be neutral and you’ll find the true quality of the content.

  5. I was very glad to see your interest gain the farther we went though it. In the past I wasn't a fan of round based but loved Outbreak, this to me blends both of those with MWZ in a way that has me very excited. I'm fine with familiar concepts, mechanisms and such being carried through as that helps with the learning curve, love the save/rejoin feature for solo/squads. Happy that there is a skill tree of sorts with the upgrades that gives you something to play for over and over. New guns are exciting and a few new zombie types to haunt my early nightmares is great. Looking forward to it.

  6. Ah, at first I couldn't figure out why you were so disappointed with zombies Geeky, but I believe I understand now.

It seems you are a huge fan of zombies taking place in fantastical settings, which deviate far away from the tone and atmosphere of typical realistic COD multiplayer and campaigns. So for example settings that are mythical, daunting, and otherworldly – these were most prevalent in BO3 and BO4 zombies.

Now, modern zombies has changed course and seems to be going back to its roots – the grounded, realistic, and gritty setting that it debuted with in World at War.

I understand why people don't enjoy the direction modern zombies is taking. Believe me, I miss the fantastical atmosphere of BO3-BO4 too. But I also enjoyed the grounded and realistic atmosphere of World at War; I'm a fan of both worlds luckily.

Geeky, you don't have to force yourself to be hyped if you don't want to be. Zombies isn't like how it was in its glory days of BO3, so if that's not your cup of tea that's perfectly fine. Luckily BO3 still offers a plethora of custom maps that have the same feel as before.
