  1. When you set national policy for china, instead of declaring war with mongolia you can unify with mongolia when you are in control of both states BUT unifying states need to allied first to unify. No need for war. At all xd

  2. I don't understand why Quill isn't building up space defenses in the countries he controls. Not only do they defend against nuclear bombardments, they defend against the aliens as well. Once every region has space defenses, you can stop putting money into it.

  3. You are too obsessed with speed. When going on the offensive ennemy will have no where to run and you will miss your slow ships. Like when your 2 fast laser cruiser got mauled by the hab defense while 2 slow missile boat would have just obliterated them from out of harm way…

  4. Speed has its place
If you want to bring the enemy to action to clear earths orbitals I find I need ships with speed to usually make it work.
Combat speed is different…most battles I fight, I seem to be drifting along pew pewing away and may on occasion have to break off a faster element to chase scatters.
Strategic speed is worth far more. The difference between a task force taking a year or two to hit an alien base in the asteroid belt can wind up being the difference between a cakewalk and a struggle cause the aliens could reinforce…heavily.
The academy will have some leveled up peeps especially if they’ve been untargeted by the other factions so far.
You can see that with the raw number of councillors that you are able to see to investigate…you don’t seem to have a big bunch to choose from which makes me think they’re high level and able to hide from casual surveillance. Plus AFAIK the factions prioritize the higher CP countries which makes sense.
Steal Yemen with its one CP from the Academy, meh, they’re not happy
Steal Russia with a four CP…that’s war.

  5. 35:30 Quill is so obsessed with Mercury being "closest in distance", when that doesn't actually matter at all for space travel. Yes, it's a CGP Grey thing, and I like him too, but this game uses Delta V, not just distance, making most trips from Mercury quite impossible. In terms of Delta V, you want your main shipyards at Mars. Although the one nice thing about Mercury is that it has launch windows every 3 months.
