In 2024, more is more, and @everyone has to just accept that quality IS quantity! (okay, you don’t, but, be prepared for a 15 minute patch notes video lol). There are definitely some things hitting STFC that I believe have tremendous potential. That said, there are also needlessly complicated additions that might have some players scratching their heads. THIS ENTIRE NEW ARC IS ABSOLUTE F**** B/S. SCOPELY CAN KEEP THIS 💩 I WILL NOT BE PARTICIPATING IN THIS ARC AT ALL. I DON'T WANT THE NEW SHIP, CREW, OR CURRENCY LOOP. F*** SCOPELY. AND NO I WON'T BE SPENDING A PENNY ON THIS S****.
It's hard not to think that Scopely has finally jumped the shark. Yet another loop, yet another set of currencies and refineries, yet another specialty ship. While Galaxy Quest is a fun movie, bringing in non-ST IP, even that which is a tribute (or a mockery, depending on how you view it) is just absurd. I imagine sooner or later we'll get the Orville, too.
Never mind. Not going to worry about the loop, not going to buy the battlepass. Which is another irritation – $20 for only 2 weeks, where last month it was $20 for a month? It's obviously a way to squeeze more blood out of that particular turnip, and while a battlepass does have some value for players, it's only a matter of time before we're having to spend $20 a week just to get the benefits. As Gwen DeMarco put it, "Well, screw that! Whoever wrote that episode should DIE!"
We'd complain more if Scopely sat on their hands and let allowed the game to fade away. But It's a lot of content, maybe they could've spread it out a bit better, but this is like cramming for an exam. My game time remains finite, an hour a day, so I'll be sticking to the core game.
Quantity over quality!! Too many things to do with very poor quality and many more bugs!! A new Scopely money grab?? I think maybe. An arc I hate already?? YES!!!!

When is "Bek's" going to come on your show and face the music? Unless Scopely comes on and answers for the quality v quantity lie they told I feel many players are going to leave and them just simply ignoring the community (Which they are right now) will not work for them in this case. They need to make a bridge with the players we dont need new content they need to fix so much in the game first and condense the existing currency, tasks and other items before they keep ramming more down our throat.
G6 economy is broken, too costly and we have ships we cant use as they cost too much. How on earth do they expect to make money when the Whales are getting bored. Let alone the F2P content for the free players getting harder and harder.
Game has real issues right now, Bek's will be the downfall of this game.
I had low expectations for this arc and they haven't even met those. Invasions is just a new hostile which, depending on your ops level, you need to kill hundreds of just to comolete the sms. The chimeras are just another type of solo armada. The mirror universe did not need an expansion at all and the new stupid looking area of space seems to be completely pointless. Unless I'm missing something huge its just copy, pasted klingon hostiles and armadas with hazards added to the g5 systems. At least Alan Rickmam (RIP) is the best officer this arc.
all these open grind loops is getting way too much now.
Scopley need to start looking at close loops that only operate during there respected arcs.
for example – with Galaxy Quest – 2 month long arc, BIG rewards for completion (say 90%) like new tech, new ship, new officers. once complete it closes and moves to the holodeck for those who wish to re-run and gain the rewards throughtout the arc. of course the BIG rewards will not be available.
So Arc would start and run various events with various different payouts in each event to aid in player progression, also a 2 month (or 60 day) SMS with a completion token which will allow players access to the "Big" rewards. an example of an SMS event would be Kill 50 new hostiles per day and get a daily completion token that pays towards the overall arc SMS, or maybe mine some materials like Data or some other rss/mat that has long been forgotten. maybe an event that runs like an away team, but you actively do the away team mission instead of sending off officers, or maybe spend any type of recruit token as an SMS daily event towards arc SMS.
maybe an heroic SMS, that has 4 milestones, the 2nd milestone payouts the daily completion token which F2P can do, and then milestones 3 and 4 are aimed at those willing to spend money and give them massive payouts of rss/mats/lat/other currencies/officer shards
Dailies run throughout the month as always, as these are standard way to gain rss and mats and parts for daily progression.
as for the Pay to Play side of the arc, access to half the big rewards per month.
Idea: would it be possible to add more chest pull to the fatu scrap? Like a 2 pull for a premium or event a third. Players that are aiming for the SLB have a lot of fatu on their hands 😅

Mirror is just to complicated, this event is even worse. I understand the need for scoply to make a profit, everyone does. Unfortunately this just seems like another money grab. Very disappointed. Do better scoply!
Im surprised peeps are liking the new arc. I find it disappointing. As to many many many peeps on my server. Im still trying to figure out my gorn ship abilities does not make sense to me yet.im on the fence with mirror universe.
@revdeuce, We got Phase 2 of the invasion today. The only Chimeras I have access to are Rare 42s. I got a 50 blue 'whatever this currency is called' from the event store yesterday with a 22hr cool-down. How am I supposed to enjoy this Arc if I will only have the opportunity ( for free ) to attempt 1 chimera? Can you tell scopely they need to get rid of the cool-down period for that event store item, or ask them to make a different mechanic for achieving those blue 'whatevers'?
What crew is best for Chimeras? Are they considered hostiles or armadas?
Another no-spend month. If Scopely keeps adding things that NOBODY is asking for, will this game be here in a year? Most of the big spenders are not spending like they were for new content, wonder why?

Im still way behind on keeping up with the game, mirror universe is beyond me right now. So, maybe we can get into galaxy quest. Hope so!
