A legend returns in a new form, the might Detroit class heavy cruiser! She’s not the only cruiser we get under construction though, there is also a new light cruiser featuring a ton of 5 inchers like an Atlanta class. Oh and the Germans finally give up after we give another one of their battleships a good hiding.

Columbus may be an older vessel, but she's doing her job well. Perhaps when the war is done, she would have personally seen to it the French learn to leave her charges alone.
That was a proper battle right there! And, from the look of things, not the only one you'll have in that particular theatre of operations.
We need to launch an investigation into what black magic our fleet has clearly learned. First the Rocket now the Portland defying physics in being the last ship floating.
The Portland winning was quite something xD
Great content as always
USS Birmingham with the most optimistic torpedo launch I've ever seen . 🙂
Willis A Lee. The USNs premier gunnery expert. Makes sense.
o7 to the Long Beach's bucket crew for keeping her floating
It would seem that the USN damage control teams are far more historically accurate than we thought.
Day 25 of posting a obligatory comment to boost engagement
6:27 That battle was the reason why I asked for light ship escorting my squadron. The French ships are too fast to be outrun. If the Portland was reached and almost sunk (and she reached 30 knots), what do you think will happen to our Battleships, that reach 21 knots at best?
The only thing I want you to change in these videos is a broadside closeup view of the enemy ships if they're new
Nothing wrong with the videos, just YouTube's video quality making it hard to tell what the ships look like
47:04 What did I tell you when I sent the request for light ships escorting my squadrons? THAT was exactly what I was trying to avoid. Enemy small ships getting too close to the Capital Ships.
I might be a daring and aggressive commander, but I'm not an idiot. I know what happens if you leave your ships alone without proper escorting and, differently from other High Officers in the US Navy, I have read ONI's Identification Manuals, and I know what I'm going against.
The United States has officially become the country of f**k around and find out!!! 😳😳😳😳
gawd damn the gaulois literaly tank the damage like the bismark
Good to see the a Salem in action, and for the record of lossing a transport us Salem's are more attack equipped then defend😜
Uh I love these series I just wish the AI had a more sensible armor design going in, these battles often feel like one sided fist fights
I’m convinced the Long Beach is Charmed
54:14 Colorado is also a state
Hi! I know, economy's not exactly balanced with the mod. But anyway, for vanilla gameplay or even NAR, do you have some advice how to make the economy rolling? In my current playthrough, I can't have more then 10 battleships and hardly 20 Heavy Cruisers and light cruisers and hardly 30 destroyers without being in massive minus. Even with reduced tech effort. In 1920
Portland. I'm not locked in here with you!!!!
You sure these guys are French? They look a bit Swiss to me.
I hope those CAs and CLs in the big battle, were issued blindfolds so they didn't have to watch those walls of shells come in!
1:00:35 Extremely Common USN W
Why not do design refits on a specific time line. Like every 3-5 years you put design X into the yard for X Mk4 or whatever?
Then wouldn’t you have the ability actually upgrade the ship when you have a chance (no war, yard space, etc) but then you could tell at a glance which ships needed a refit, and which ones didn’t.
The heavy cruisers seem to be doing a lot of work in this campaign! Looks like they might could benefit more with 10" guns!! GO PORTLAND!!!!

I'm not sure if I'd really call 9 versus 3 in capital ship numbers 'pretty even' but I suppose they did heavily outnumber you in the cruiser department, and those CAs aren't terrible.
That's a bit odd seeing a ship called the Spruance, on a ship built when the man it's probably named after was still a navy war college instructor…. Wasn't even flag rank yet. Still, who knows what he'd have gotten upto in this timeline, there have been a LOT more wars! On the down side, it'd suggest he's probably dead or otherwise been retired. I highly doubt the US navy would name a ship after an active serving officer.
The Long Beach’s survival on 1% is the way in which the game is apologising for the odd flash fire on one of the capital ships in a previous episode.
