Let's say there are no glitches, no side affects or permanent damage in the short term. Everyone goes thru trauma, some more than others & some severely. Part of our healing process is in blocking out what gets in the way of healing. Even without some super charged memory we sometimes relive our traumas, naturally, from a sense memory, but our brains are not supercharged to possibly send us on a continual loop of the trauma. As it is computer science is a mixed bag. Depression & suicide particularly in our youth has sky rocketed & has been directly correlated with our Cell phones. We have more available data than we know what to do with & much of it is inaccurate & purposefully misleading by nefarious sources. I don’t totally disagree because I’m not fully educated in regards to the effects of population decline throughout history.
I do know that the Black Plague greatly reduced the European population and it had a positive effect in many European regions.
It was my understanding that The Black Plague helped usher in the renaissance. I thought losing a third of the population had economic, social, and religious effects that vastly changed European society and contributed to Europe's emergence into the Renaissance, an age of exploration and the expansion of the human imagination.
Even the diet changes had a positive effect because they could grow a wide variety of produce and meat sources. This contributed to much better nutritional health and some say it had a direct effect on the human imagination.
what you eat and drink is the most important thing you do besides not texting and driving but Elon is going to fix that problem with self driving vehicles. If he succeeds , if the world succeeds in going autonomous this will usher in a new age as well in opinion. It will make the world a place without the stress of losing a child or something horrific while in transit. A change will come with the absence of deep seeded stress of having routine near death experiences.
