How good is Tax Collector in Modern if we can blink it every turn with Ephemerate or Phelia, Exuberant Shepherd? Let’s find out!

I think this deck has potential, but it needs a lower CMC cost, and proactive gameplan. Vial is bad these days. Might be better if replaced by either Novice inspector or Guide of souls. Recruiter is nice but slow.
Background white noise is getting a bit too loud. If you could turn it down a bit, that'd be greatly appreciated 🙂
24:44 you can block with the arbiter to unlock the recruiter and find solitude. Then if you find a white card you can scam the solitude to wipe their board.
Unwatchable too many missplays
“Kor firewalker is the only good kor in magic” you heard it here people, stoneforge mystic is stone unplayable
3-2 but you went against legacy busted T1 grief and a very close burn matchup could have easily been a 5-0. tax collector is good playing him in a human tribal deck
40:03 WHYYYYY did you discard the Path? You literally said earlier in the match that one reason it was good was to path your own creatures to gain life. Then you discarded it instead of ephemerate and died, when you could have lived by pathing one of your creatures and swinging back for 6.
I'd surely replace Aether Vial for Mana Tithe for maximum fun
DB_Saffron?
So did Nadu just disappear or something?
Does the Tax etb adds up?
Deck name: Fanum tax
Why would Seth use two tax collectors in one turn instead of using the second one on the next turn? Wouldn't it be better to make the opponent sit on their hands one more turn?
that tamiyo matchup was just an irs roleplay
Instead of playing the flagstones, it’s better to just play volatile fault as copies 5-8 of ghost quarter. They do cost 1 mana to activate but give you a treasure in return
The first game is painful as Seth just refuses to play things when they would lock out his opponent.
Feels like having Thalia to put the squeeze on them with the Tax Collector would be better than Ephemerate or both? I just can’t imagine NOT playing Thalia in D&T.
Around 1:18:00 op should've waited until you targeted with ephemerate to galvanic blast and bolt your board, because now you get to recruiter and ephemerate it
Match 2 game 1, chump with leonin, draw a white card, get solutide with recruiter ephemerate, ephemerate the solitude…
Please stop scooping early.
Why do you get double triggers on the inspector?
love how seth still butchers names even though he said them a million times correctly in the past.
Not ticking up aether vile hurt my head to watch.
MH3 also has Charitable Levy, which would've been perfect to add for the against the odds' spirit of things if you're not embracing the Mana Tithe and Reprieve side of the force
"the only good kor in magic"
stoneforge mystic is offended
with all the different card arts, that first hand made me almost throw up.
Should this deck play thalia? It probably means giving up on the ephemerates, but I think thalia + tax collector could be a nasty combo, maybe fom the sideboard.
Great video
i think your mistake in game 3 against burn was playing the eiganjo and the tax collector. should've kept it all as removal/fodder for the solitude, then the discard spell wouldnt have wrecked you
Leaving a dislike for saying cat Jesus
I feel like the deck would be more effective using containment priest instead of tax collector as you can turn every attack into a kill spell with phelia. This can also shut down reanimation decks, evoke elemental decks, etc etc.
Wow, MTGO in this day and age!? I'm shocked
I can't get over the fact that a deck I've been playing for 7 years is now on against the odds!😂
Wall of omens is great in this deck
Also it's nice to have a single surveil land
Seth really played soooooo bad in this video. Almost every game hi was sooo focused on some other unimportant stuff that he just missplayed miserably.
hello i am new to magic the gathering trying to play mtgo i bought the 5 dollar upgrade account kit but i dont know how to build a kit with the cards i have i wish someone would please tell me how i can find premade decks with the cards i have
Welcome to Death and taxes, or as it probably should be known, mono white jund. People would play the deck so much better if they just understood it's not an aggro deck it is truly mono white jund
When I saw Tax Collector, I was definitely expecting Seth to turn it into an Elesh Norn/Panharmonicon deck.
Seth not grabbing the leonin game 1 was painful, especially with the double land destruction triggers
Day 2 of me asking them to bring back GOAT magic
I don't know Seth, which enchanter is our MDFC?
I don't know about you but I have been running into players with over sized decks, I mean to say upwards of 300 cards… how about anyone else?
the us dollar is hyper inflating in front of our eyes. source: modern decks.
couf couf do you wan pay the 2 : must add smothering tide and ghostly prison lol!
Nomad's en-Kor would like a word about being the best kor in magic.
I feel like such an asshole. I can't watch this guy. His info is great but…
