President Biden addresses the nation tonight for the first time since he withdrew from the 2024 election.
After weeks of uncertainty Biden, 81, announced on Sunday that he would not seek re-election and endorsed Kamala Harris, his vice-president, to take his place as Democratic nominee. He will deliver remarks from the Oval Office at 8pm (1am BST). Trump began speaking shortly after 6pm (11pm).
