  1. This matter further highlights the arrogance and ignorance of Western countries. For Asians with even a slight understanding of Japan's Sengoku history, it is easy to see that Yasuke was not an official Japanese samurai. At most, he was just a retainer of Oda Nobunaga, whose ethnicity was a novelty to the Japanese at the time. However, such basic historical knowledge is beyond the grasp of the woke producers of Western games, who can't even conduct basic fact-checking. It's embarrassing.

  3. Yeah, the biggest mistake Ubisoft made was having Yasuke be a playable character. If he would've been relegated to a side character that helps the Assassins, like Leonardo da Vinci, this wouldn't have blown up in there faces the way it's doing right now.

  4. I hate Ubisoft’s recent games and what they have become. But also, coming from a nation that was colonized by Japan before, and with Japan actively distorting our nation’s history by continually denying their war crimes, Geisha, r*pe, refusing to apologize and even pay, and even immortalizing several generals who have been convicted with war crimes through their shrine, I can’t help but think, well, Japan finally got a taste of their own medicine (albeit through a very minor thing) of an entirely different shitty organization actively distorting their history and not giving any fcks about it. Japan, the world war gaslighter, for the first time, now, is experiencing being gaslighted. Aaaasnd, im not going to buy Shadows. Even contemplating if it’s worth pirating.

  5. "Bro its a game?"

You know people would be mad if someone made a game of a civil war based on American civil war, but instead the confederacy won.
Yeah that's how Japanese is feeling rn my dear friends.
If you wanna destroy someone history, do it on your own history.

  6. One thing that people are pointing at is "He's a retainer, not a samurai" whereas there were many retainers that were also samurai. Hideyoshi Toyotomi and Mitsuhide Akechi were also retainers, as well as samurai. So Yasuke COULD have been a samurai, but if there's so little factual information about him, I wouldn't push it as historically accurate lol.

  7. No problem to be Yasuke, what Japan means is to get a more significant character from they history, like Masamune Date, Ydeioshi Toyotomi, why not Musashi Myamoto? That's what they mean. But I think the game shall be fine with Yasuke, no needs to blow people for that.

  10. TBH i don't care about the accuracy of history in games but, a samurai is a warrior class and not an assassin class.

PS. Calling the feudal time a fantastic time, is awefull. I mean, sure it is interesting time but calling it fantastic is a joke. Feudalism is like slavery but with benefits. /spit ubisoft

  11. DEI hypocrisy is stunning. Blatant rcsm. Ubisoft is rcst. I think the tide is turning and DEI will be relegated to the trash heap of history. MEI, not DEI from here on. Lads, do NOT buy or preorder.
