  1. As always you give a very thorough review on the changes to the Life Staff. It is sad to see them nerf the staff more. But I look forward to the Void Gauntlet. It looks so fun to play. I hope it's released to the game soon.

  2. Yay!! Im happy for the nerfs.
    Finally something challenging for me!
Excited to see the challenge in pve, but pvp will be less satisfying with how many people are in out post rush they need 2v2 3v3's

  3. They should have gone with adding more anti heal skills on other weapons over direct nerf to heals. I feel like I am getting melted in wars as healer. Time to pick different role… Getting tired of these nerfs over them fixing the lag and so many other issues as healer.

  4. Over 20 years of healing MMO's it always the DPS the whine the most and get healers nerfed, and will then scream at healers when they die. The changes? Only the stamina nerf is a bit meh, rest of the healing nerfs are what they are will just have to adapt. Having to level up a second healing weapon is yawn but will grind it out.

  5. Ughhhh I’m so annoyed man… like why?? I feel like they might think people might abuse it if paired with the void gauntlet, giving it has its own healing branch but still, it’s very annoying 😞

  6. Yea this killed the game for me. Let's buff GA/WH and nerf mages to the ground. Brilliant. Now everyone gonna run around with a GA/WH. Lol light armor is useless when there's GA/WH cheese builds with heavy armor one shotting people in light armor and with GA/WH being buffed that's all people are going to use now. AGS snorting paint chips if they think this is balance.

  7. This is the reason why I quit playing lifestaff, I was playing full foc lifestaff ever since beta, it was really fun and really elevates the team, however the recently patch made me quit it and become a tanker/dps. Ppl thinks lifestaff is imba in pvp however I think it is really balance out because if u do play as a healer u know that u really cant do much in pvp except massive delicate healing.

  8. Idk I feel like if the light armor is actually going to work that the nerfs won't have a major impact. Also note that the most recent developer post says there will be changes to the heal interface, though not huge, but much needed along with some fixes. I only hope one day I will no longer have to scroll through my party in order to heal a specific player

  9. Seriously about to stop healing . This is getting ridiculous. If healing was soooo good then every Invasion would be won , every war won and every dungeon won . The idea the Life Staff needs to be nerfed because of the Void gauntlet is also ridiculous. It practically forces us to use the void gauntlet to be the best . I am not sucking up to the Devs just because they made a random nerf. Come on haters lol

  10. In my opinion the Life Staff was balanced for PvP with the devs giving NO thought to how it would affect PvE. Without that careful balance between PvP and PvE the Life staff will be alot less used and people will need to be ALOT more reliant on passive weapon skill heals and health pots because healers will become harder to find. And No one is going to use light armor unless it's a significant boost because you get killed so easily in it.

  11. I don't understand why they would Nerf healer at all…Amber gems don't work past tier 3 so you can't go past 30% damage converted to nature, and even then the Flawed Amber gems only offer 20%, but do MORE Damage than the 30% ones…maybe they should focus on That over abilities that Actually Work?! You have the Hammer spamming to knockback and stun players being abused, you have the Great Axe reap and gravity well abilities spammed and abused…then you want healers to be limited to light and medium armor which isn't viable vs the resistance and armor of Heavy armor users. Completely nerfing fire staff casters abilities critical chance just completely make that class unplayable. If they spent more time fixing stuff that Doesn't work instead of adding more things that Break More Things in the game would be the Best Choice to keep the game thriving. The constant nerfs, and rebranded buffs to abilities that don't need them makes about as much sense as calling a sharpening rod a spatula…

  12. So, Myca, you said you were going to give us your thoughts and you did, but you didn't answer the one question I had: are you going to go full light now, or stick with Heavy, or something in between? Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

  13. Light armor: no, unfortunately. I really tried to make light armor work, but as Baggins pointed out very early and I stubbornly resisted, you can't heal when you're dead. I also suspect that the light armor buff is going to work the same way, and thus will still be much less effective than the damage reduction provided by heavy armor.

  14. I do think the most interesting change is Light's Embrace / Connection, with the bump to 2% mana recovery per buff. With additional mana, this might make Light's Embrace very low cost and/or free, and with the new Shared Recovery it might be possible to gain mana.

The rest of it, meh. Healing is reduced, but nothing is significantly changing – no one is going to take Splash of Light because of its massive inefficiency – though if everyone in your group is below 50%, you could gain mana while watching them die. Divine Embrace – lol what? Enchanted Justice – lol WHAT?

This seriously makes me question what data they are working from, because clearly it's not live data from the game. You only need to watch Sacred Ground ticking for 5k healing/sec to understand what makes it strong. Splash of Light heals for a max of about 2k every 15 seconds minus any cooldown reduction you manage. And they think a buff from 50% of damage to 60% of damage alters that calculation in any way? They are bonkers.
