Sad. This game looked pretty fun and beautiful. I signed the petition.
I was under the impression that gamers had soundly rejected crypto and blockchain in their games, though. Certainly the huge wave of popularity has died out, so it just seems like an incredibly bad business move to take their business further in this direction.
Certainly cements my decision even further that I won't be playing Fae Farm, though. (I just don't like the character design, it's far too much like Funkopops for my liking.)
This game looked so cool 🙁
I can't imagine spending four years of your life working on a big project like this only to have it canceled 💔 It sounds like it would have been fun. I'm in love with the concept art.
Here another example of me being the last person to get the memo, I didn't knew this was about to happen. Now I knew of it's almost existence I miss it dearly – It just sounds like it was tailored for me – and players like me. I'm just sad. We missed encountering a sweet B-max terracotta sidekick by this much & dragon pets.
Boundless was awful, so this doesn't surprise me.
the fact that such a promising and fun-looking game became a victim of NFT's is a straight up crime.
This video is so heartwarming to see… I was an audio programmer on the team for the past two years, and even though nobody has really been yet able to hear the amazing audio experiences we made, it's giving me such a warm and fuzzy feeling that players connect with our game as a whole.
It was truly something special. We all said it for years, even before it was canceled. We knew we had a gem on our hands – for years. We had never worked on something like this before, where everything and everyone just clicked, it was like magic… we were all very proud of the game and the team culture that made it. So glad the public is responding well to the little part of our hard work they can see today :') Means a ton <3 If only we could have shared it all with y'all!
Finally, my personal thanks go to all our leadership, who were true heroes until the very end. They don't tweet nor share much for obvious reasons, and also because they are the most burnt by this whole thing. Everybody on the team was a rockstar though, and this team was truly more than the sum of its individuals.
Maddening that this was cut short right before it had a chance 😔 so much beautiful Nick art
This game looks fantastic! The art is stunning! If the devs sold an art book, I would buy in a heartbeat
This is why I’m into indie titles these larger companies cancel games at the drop of a hat and it’s not worth getting excited for these games till they actually release
I want them to start a kickstarter
That's a shame because it looked pretty fun.
Is it possible for the game to come out on Mobile?
Awww, this art and the animals are soo cute. 🙁 I would have so played this game.
It's such a shame to see such a promising project cancelled.. just a sad situation all around. 🙁 I feel for the people who worked on the project.
Oh my god….. even i know this was a massive mistake cancelling everhaven. Even as a marketing and business standpoint. It would of been their first large scale game. This is especially upsetting because it would of potentially targeted those not just into minecraft, but dragon quest builders, palia and potentially ECO. Forte sounds more like a parasite than a game and tech company. Disgusting. My hunch is, they are going to make faefarm free eventually and turn it into a mix of NFTs and micro transactions. I’m glad i never bought the game. I’m never going to support this company now.
industry so cooked they killed my best friend little dragon guy before I even met him :C
I'm not going to check out Fae Farm then. I don't want to end up funding NFT projects.
Never signed a petition so fast in my life. This game looked gorgeous in every category, and I’m so sorry for all the people who poured their hearts and souls into making this beautiful game. All that hard work, for nothing, because of corporate BS. It’s so disappointing. To anyone who worked on this game, if you’re reading, I would have played the hell out of this game! You deserve better.
This looks sooo great! As I love Valheim-type games but always been looking for a farming-type / cozy version of it, I guess this could have been my dream game. So sad they cancelled it and without a convincing reason as well. Heartbreaking for the developers, but also a great loss for us players.
Isn't it a little strange.. Phoenix Labs was bought by a company promoting NFTs and suddenly after a bunch of hype on the #ProjectDragon gets rolling.. theres some event going on with a bunch of NFT looking profiles posting under the same hashtag…
bruh……………………. we were robbed………… 😭
god i hate crypto bros so much
It's official, I'm deleting Dauntless from my Switch and never touching Fae Farm. I refuse to show support for companies that would do that to their employees and projects that people that it is likely people were already excited for. If only all of the teams for the canceled projects could find a way to still reach the final development stages and release their games anyway. Hopefully there ends up being some way for Everhaven to come out at some point. It looks and sounds like it would be a lot of fun
Fucking crypto bros and block chain kill another game that looked amazing.
It somewhat looks like Palia 😅 which is also a fun game to play
This is incredibly sad to think of what could have been. I absolutely adore the art style.
One small solace is that some of the team's work got to be seen by others. Not only do bystanders get to appreciate the work, but hopefully it'd be something that could be shown on a resume/portfolio.
I'll gladly sign the petition. Such a shame as this project looks superb. Can't help feeling that the way things are going in the industry these days the suits will have crushed any chance of creativity
That's so unfortunate that we'll never get this game. It looks so good…
I am done with the NFT stuff.
The game looked so good! I’m sad it won’t be released. If I worked on it I would be so frustrated. They did a great job, I hope somehow we still get to see it.
It ticks me off that a game like this has to be cancelled because the game industry is pumping Fortnite clones
This makes me so sad. The game looked so beautiful. And the concept art had so much soul and personality too! I would have loved to play it.
