I don't know if u played it or not, but you should definitely check out The Banner Saga
Plz check out Crpg; Sunless sea and Sunless sky.
So… this is Mount and Blade with ARPG combat instead of first person combat? Sounds good.
Oh, no. They definitely need to change the in-game font.
Really enjoying your content. Thanks for you time.
thanks for your impression. I pick this up a while ago but never really got to play with it. Now i'm definitely going to try it out.
Thank you for this review,
I tried Sand's while it was still in early access and I couldn't keep up my interest although it seemed super cool and very mount and bladey.
The review really makes me want to try it again.
Seeing your reaction to this, now I DEFINITELY think you should look at Battle Brothers. But I'm going over to Steam to give this a Follow, at least.
Great video. Really enjoying the content. Keep it up!
ohhhh you gonna review this ?? that great !! I really love the game and it hit different if you complete it 100%
Thanks for the review! I got swamped by bugs when the game released but kept track on their updates over steam, they seem to be doing a good job so we can look forward to how this game develops
Bought the game. Beat the game through 1.5 playthroughs. Loved it, but the genre as a whole is tenuous for me.
It is definitely an interesting and DEEP game with a lot of replayability. It will take multiple playthroughs to see everything and even a couple more to see divergent paths. The core gameplay loop and various systems are pretty solid and for completionist, there are many hidden things that will take a LONG time to even present themselves.
If you want a mount and blade style game, set in a medium fantasy world based on Eastern mythology? Definitely a buy, but keep in mind if you dont like M&B or care about strategy simulation games you will NOT find the rpg elements compelling enough to replay it again.
Wow. Looks cool. But I'll wait your 100% review before buying it
Hope you get a chance to play Kenshi. Its more sandbox but the RPG elements is better than almost everything. Some of the systems here reminds me of Kenshi, thats why I brought it up.
imo you should try Triangle Strategy.
This was one I was unsure of and was glad to see your review.
The game is very interesting, I beat the campaign and generally enjoyed it. I do think the combat has issues in that it sort of wants to play as an ARPG (when fighting in dungeons and you don't have your army to help you) but you don't really have the mobility and abilities tend to be on long cooldowns, so fighting bosses solo can be pretty difficult. That said, as an isometric mount and blade game it works pretty decently.
Looks really good but I wish combat was turn based or at least turn based option
I played about 30 hours of this, 15 in EA and 15 after release. In my opinion it has no system deep enough to warrant keeping playing for long and the overall story is not worth it either.
I know that when you say 100% that doesn't always mean you get 100% of the achievements but I still occasion like to imagine that you are doing that and hit a glitches achievement and pull your hair out in stress because you started something you can't finish. I say this not out of malice but because you remind me of a guy who I went to school with who did exactly that once.
This game looks awesome!
Thanks for the impressions, always looking forward to your opinion on games.
You should give a shot to Troubleshooters, its one of me the deeper TTRPG available IMHO.
As i told you on your old salazar vid, cant wait for the review!🥳 good show sir!
Love the work. Keep it up. It really feels that you enjoy what you are doing.
Sands of Salzaar was in my wishlist for ages, I haven't bought it only because it was really buggy at the time. Glad to see you'll review it.
Do you like Master Yi? Then you will love this game.
Battle Brothers 100% when ?
free comment has arrived.
I think I've heard of this, but the translation wasn't finished at the time or something. Looks interesting. Looking forward to your 100% review.
My major problem with this game is that I just don't think the combat is very fun. And if I don't enjoy the combat, I'm better off playing games like this that have combat systems that I DO enjoy, like Battle Brothers, Mount & Blade or even Wartales.
the game is cool but the hard level cap of 20 is stifling
Off-topic, but what are your thoughts on the Might and Magic RPGs?
my friend bought this for me as a joke this last christmas, it seemed interesting but the poor translation / janky feel made me drop it after only 2-3 hours. figured i'd pick it up again. glad to see you covering this!
It sort of reminds me of Kenshi.
Well yet another game I've had to buy because of you. Gee thanks. Lol.
This is a janky mount and blade with arpg combat and some surprisingly deep systems.
The dev very obviously loves his game but i feel like he is a little bit in over his head making it 😛
If you like games similar to mount and blade, get this. If not maybe dont.
I actually forgot about this game after your initial "take a look" series. I think I'll pick it up now that its out of "early access".
$15 is honestly a really good price for this game
it looks amazing, definitly will buy it on some sale
The combat looks just a chaotic mess. I'd rather wait for Wartales. Have you checked out Battle Brothers?
Really looking forward to the full review. I'm really glad how much the game has improved from early access– but I've seen some people say it falls off later in the game.
I tried it for about 2 or 3 hours and I got really bored I probably just don't know what to do….
didnt feel polished, a bit soulless, sucks because the idea is good
Sadly I cannot support (PRC) Chinese developers and publishers 🙁 Hopefully there is regime change someday soon. Looks like an interesting game!
i got the game in ea and it changed a lot for the better since then. i would describe it as "bannerlord meets dynasty warriors in an oriental fantasy setting" which is in fact i wished for as a game (bannerlord with a more fantasy setting and a one-man-army type of gameplay or dw being more strategic and focusing more on developing your faction)
I REALLY liked about 90% of this game…but the combat AI was atrocious. Threw me off so much I decided I wasn't interested in it.
This was super intriguing. Really not many great series on YouTube about this game. You could be one of the first to really dive in and cover, if you were ever open to recording a series.
You should try Gordian quest next, it grid base 3 party rpg card game
