  2. dude i would LOVE to have a sleepover at this house! the fancy carpet, the delicate wood, all the books to read, and some interesting possible hauntings. imagine setting up a tent in this place

  3. Um. Do beds float? If not, can you make a raft to float in the pool with a bed on it? Might be cheating, might force the AI to get creative.

How about a small island in the middle of the pool, maybe with a nice sculpture? Ooh, diving board!

  4. y'know…i always thought of this mystery house series as a little DLC to the original. not only because it's the same world…but the title (From the Fog: Mystery House) look like a games DLC and I love it.

  5. I really love that last fotograph at the end. Someone seeing it might assume that's just the chimney. Then, some time later they see the house from this angle and something seems odd. They take out the fotograph and compare it. That dark shape on the roof… there is no chimney there. Infact the roof is absolutely featureless, they realize, as the hairs stand up on their neck.

  6. Hey Librarian, I remembered back when you saw Herobrine's shadow before seeing him, and I had recently just thought about if it would be possible to capture a photo showing your shadow and maybe a ghost's shadow beside it. Aside from acting as more photographic proof of the haunting, I think it would be an inventive way to show yourself in the photos, like a mysterious photographer whose image is only shown through a shadow. (And, ya know, there's no functioning mirrors in the mod pack that I know of yet :P)

  7. Librarian, absolutely remember you can right click a shovel on grass to make paths! They're fantastic looking. Use them sporatically to make a messy footpath, or to edge walls or ponds, etc.

  8. I'm not sure how this would work with the shaders but there is a "true darkness" mod out their that makes night actually pitch dark. It's very atmospheric.

  9. "Progress. After finding books upon which to expand my growing library, my astrology tower has doubled well as a means to inscribe runes upon which great power is invested. Preparations are in the works to cross the obsidian threshold again, to see what I can pull from beyond in that great hellscape. I have also made progress capturing the eldritch entities which haunt my step, and the slowly moldering complex that has become my manor. I captured the likeness, or atleast the eyes, of one of the childish laughing entities, thought their form is still obscured by some means I understand not. I fear I have descended deeper into madness then I thought, having scared myself with the simple shadow of a poppy flower in my window, lit by the weak warmth of the sun. The strange monsters that seem to crawl out of the walls continue to infest my home. I have done my best to light up what I can, but I must take care not to use to much, lest I anger whatever spirit has chosen me for it's tormentous attentions. Though I have improved my ability to combat the fires lit, I still do not wish to make it worse. it continues to haunt me from around angles, many of which were once clear only to be then inhabited by the entity that only disappears upon observation. Though I have yet to see it's smile again, that thought still haunts me in the depths of night, when the tenebrous winds rattle the boards of my home. My garden atleast still thrives to a degree, even as the cooler winds of fall turn their once bright green hues to soft browns. Work continues to dig downwards, creating layer upon layer within which I create catacomb in which to hide should such be necessary, but more to find the right minerals to perfect the finer pieces of my home. I know not what eldritch or occultic incantions were used to bring this curse upon me, which haunts me steps wherever I go, yet the one I know for sure, is that the house MUST grow."

Terribly sorry for my delay, this came out right as I was going to bed and I had work in the morning. My work may not be the best but I hope I put together a decent one atleast.

  10. What would really be cool/interesting imo, is that there could be some interaction between the camera mod and the From the Fog mod that if you can successfully take a picture of that giggling entity with some sort of special film, you can get a glimpse of the form the entity was trying to hide. Maybe some sort of spindly shadowy form that belies its "small" frame judging by its eye level.

  11. Hey Librarian, since you're using a lot of red wool for the carpets you could save some dye by dying some of your sheep red, they will even regrow their wool in that colour. Maybe you could use different colours of carpet for different sections of the house as well?
Always looking forward to the next episode, keep up the great work!

  12. If you want to unlock all in-game recipes you can run "/recipe give @a *" if you have cheats enabled. Otherwise, you can also open the game to lan, activate cheats, run the command, then close and reopen the game as an exception (or edit a gamefile would also work to activate cheats post world creation).

But yes, minecraft is relatively newcomer unfriendly, it relies heavily on its community, like youtube videos and wikis.

Also, did youtube delete my comment on one of your previous videos in this series? I had quite a few elaborations on game mechanics which confused you and stuff…

  13. Librarian there's a fun semi-realistic ghost hunting game called Conrad Stevenson's Paranomal P.I, it's not arcade-ish like Phasmophobia as you gotta do some digging to actually find evidence It's a pretty cool game imo

  14. An Idea that might fit with the Mystery aspect of the house or be complete randomness, that idea is, bringing some of the Nether life(plants/mobs) and making chambers/rooms either within the underground section or above-ground into "Nether pockets" in the Overworld.
either way, enjoying the uploads and looking forward for more!

  15. there is a way to know if a fire system has activated. if you place a block on a normal non sticky piston and connect it with redstone to the detector, then if the detector goes off it will mve the block but not move back once the fire is gone so you can see that the block has moved

  16. Seeing what you built in your last Minecraft series was fascinating, so I’m loving this new series concept. That said, the bird ambience is very distracting and I could barely hear you in the intro. I hope it evens out!

  18. While trying out a few of these mods myself, I noticed that a lot, if not most of the recipes in Abysal decor do not show up in the vanilla crafting book, which means you are currently missing out on a lot of interesting blocks.
Personally I use the JEI mod in which you can hover over an item and then press R to see how it's crafter or U to see what recipes use it, but it's a bit intrusive and might ruin some of the immersion.

  19. At the bottom of your "pool" pond, you should put a hidden entrance to an underground pool rooms type area, I'm sure your mods have some kind of white ceramic tile you could use

Also the house needs an Overlook Hotel-style bar, maybe in the hidden wing?
