Lying here in bed, watching the Vlog and minding my business and then you show the yummy food, now I’m hungry but can’t get up to eat because it’s 11:40pm 😂. Fun Vlog MrWoo!
Carorlando is pretty much opposite of Celebration on 192 – they only built a small portion, which still sits between I-4 and 192. It has fences up around the decaying buildings, next to the shopping center with Twistee Treat and the Hibachi restaurant. Someone did a deep dive on Carolando on YT in the last year or so.
Hey, Adam! We enjoyed this episode very much! Love history and the old artifacts you guys stumbled on at the library. QUESTION: What is the connection between John Cherry and WDBJ7-Your Hometown Station and/or Ernest? WDBJ7 is our local CBS affiliate in Roanoke, Virginia.
Wow! That BLEW MY MIND! Those archives reminded me very much of the Archives at Disney Studios in Burbank. I’m moving to the area at the end of the month and will definitely be spending some time there before Bob Paycheck finds out and it gets locked down.
My favorite Ernest Movie was Ernest goes to Africa. When I'm down, I put that on and laugh like a crazy person. I have a True Holy Land story from when it was still open of course. I et a turkey leg there and the salt of that combined with the heat left me gasping for shade. My husband was smarter and he'd gone inside to some exhibit with A/C. I did not want to take my turkey leg in there though. So was under a Palm tree to cool off and to help out I had unbuttoned my outer shirt and pulled down my tank top as far as modesty would allow to keep from passing out. The Actor who played Jesus ( he had beautifully done golden highlights ) had come Bee bopping around the corner to go into a dressing room ( I think). He was fresh off the "cross scene" I love all that stuff and had cried like a baby. His head was down looking at his phone! lol By the time he looked up and saw me I was full on fanning my chest and just about flashing him. He looked startled. I said well YOU made them so I reckon you can see em! He did not laugh but I sure as heck thought it was funny. The rest of that turkey leg waited until I could get a drink and some A/C. <3
Wow, they sure are building that house fast on the old Ernest property! I love all Ernest movies and commercials, but my favorite is Ernest Saves Christmas because it is in Orlando, and we recognize many areas. When my son was in Civil Air Patrol our squadron building was off Clear Lake Road and some of the cadets lived not far away. One of them worked at the Beefy King and we took him to his home once. The area looked so much like where some of Ernest Saves Christmas was filmed, and I bet it was. I wish we had done more exploring of the movie's locations when we lived in Apopka. Anyway, as always, thanks to you and Micah for sharing!
Adam, totally awesome and cool video! Really enjoyed it and that was awesome seeing all those newspapers with those articles on Walt Disney! Can't wait till you go back! Hello Micah!
What a fun day

2 months ago Brightsun Films did a video on the Carolando resort. A lot was built and was left abandoned for years. Worth a look.

Positive sign for humanity that the religious park has closed down. Great you found the library – everybody should celebrate their local library 📚

Hard to believe they let the public handle all those original publications at the library. Those things would seem to be priceless to me. ??

Wow. I had no idea Holy Land closed, but I'm not surprised since they were struggling for years.
