Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show, I’m your host Paul and this video we’re breaking down House Of The Dragon.

Season 2 episode 6 sees a lot of seeds being sewn and the blacks and greens make their next moves in the dance of the dragons. As always we’re gonna be breaking down the easter eggs and talking about what happens in the book. As always we’ll save that for the spoiler section at the end and I’ll give you a heads up before we get into that. This will hopefully give you a bit more context and help you enjoy the episodes more. Now we begin with some additional shots that have been added to the Intro. In the past we’ve talked about how Baby Jahaerys and The hanging rat catchers were added to the tapestries but now we also have a couple of others. Now Vhaghar tearing apart Lucerys and Arrax was originally in the first episode but this was later taken out. Here we get a different render of it before it then goes into Jaherys.

  7. I'm so sick of this daemon bs I didn't read the books so I don't want to see the most bad ass character hallucinating for 6 episodes and becoming weaker it seems evry episode

  9. I think the Daemon Dream scenes are really good. They are a bit dragged out but that’s because it’s giving the messages he’s receiving time to breath. The message has changed over time with him coming to terms with wanting to be king. Now the message is showing the damage that has already caused. He’s seeing the pain he caused his brother instead of the offense of being replaced as heir. He is seeing the pain he wasn’t there to support his brother through because of his own selfish desire. It’s building up to his eventual self sacrifice at the climax of the series. It’s also going to be used to contrast him with Aemond who will likely go through a similar journey at Harrenhal.

    And I do admit that while it needs to be drawn out it does drag a bit and I think that is why the production team brought back season 1 actors to come film new scenes. At least it gives us a chance to see them again to take some of the drag out of it.

    Edit: Also if he went through all this character growth in a single episode or two people would be complaining about how he became a completely different person so quickly. So it’s a bit of a catch 22 for the production team.

  21. 18:25, i always assumed the Mad King was caused by Bran. As in the early years of the Mad King's rule, he was a just and fair king who ruled in prosperity. He then rapidly turned and said burn them all, I just assumed Bran showed him the future and it drove him crazy that all he remembered was the white walkers could be burnt. Hence Bran's visions made him made and crazy.

  25. I loved Larys on screen this episode, especially during his meeting with the injured Aegon. It almost brought tears to my eyes. Rhaenyra and her bad judgment calls are killing me, more like she keeps getting people killed. Seeing Alicent take a rotten fish to the face was awesome and did I hear her mention a son named Daemon!? Did miss high mighty have a secret teenage pregnancy before coming to court??

  31. I loved how Seasmoke was flying by and was like: "ouuu foo-LAENOR?!! LAENOR! HEY! HEYY!! LAENO-………. close enough"

    But honestly, this makes so much sense why Addam is able to claim Seasmoke, or more accurately, why Seasmoke claimed Addam. Laenor basically raised Seasmoke and he seemed heartbroken when Laenor left, so his half brother must give some sort of comforting aura to Seasmoke. Seasmoke seemed to have an interest in Addam earlier in the season as well, and this is probably why. Booksnobs are already bent out of shape because it doesn't follow the unbreakable gospel of the books, but as long as it makes sense and doesn't outright contradict what could be possible in ASOIAF, who cares? Its a world where god damn dragons are a thing. Let the gigantic man eating puppy have his new owner.

  34. You know, Definition.. it really is a shame that they left out Mushroom in the show. But I guess there wasn't mush room for his character, aye? Aye? AYE??! 😃…….

    But Pharrell though, easy exposition character. Although, he might have been too akin to Tyrion and steal the scenes from the Targaryen'. Imagine Peter Dinklage making a return with a funny wig.

    Daeron Targaryen is also whom Haelana was speaking of when referring to the cricket that stopped singing. Prior to this, it was said that Daeron has grown to love making music and singing.

    And finally, I promise, yeah? Last tidbit, Definition.. I hope the showrunners don't speed run Daemon and Aemonds, real genius name givers those Targaryen… I hope they don't speedrun their clash at the castle. Seeing the teaser of E7 makes me believe this is when Daemon leaves because this bih is making him mad, and Aemond will have just missed him, arriving at Harrenhal. Daemon will go and fix his mishaps while it will be Aemond's turn to fall into the claws of the Owl, Alys Rivers. I firmly believe she seeks the best for the realm and which is why she needed to help Daemon see why he was wrong. She will sense how batshit Aemond is and will use his mommy issues to twist his mind, weakening his defenses while feeding his arrogance for his and Daemons clash.
