Join Dr Florence Helen Nalini in this heartfelt TED Talk as she shares her deeply personal journey from facing rejection at home to inspiring change on the world stage. Growing up without family support for her education, Dr Florence took her future into her own hands by working to pay for college. Her early struggles ignited a passion to ensure that no child ever has to endure the same hardships to access education. Her battle with COVID-19 brought her to the brink, but also brought clarity and a renewed purpose. Recovering from her near-death experience, she found a new way to make her voice heard through the glamorous yet challenging world of beauty pageants. Winning her pageant title was not just a personal triumph; it was a launchpad to advocate louder for underprivileged children, turning her crown into a symbol of hope and resilience. This talk is a journey of determination, transformation, and the powerful impact of holding onto hope and never giving up, no matter the odds.
