  2. The last time we got voiced banter between Cid and Nero was in patch 5.4 if I'm not mistaken when they were building their little super computer to solve a problem that's long hounded the peoples of Eorzia.

  3. How wealthy is the warrior of light that they have their own private island? Perhaps a gift from Tataru Bezos, Gegeruju Musk ,or even Lolorito Buffet no? The how and why should be fun too. Only Lalafells have that kind of money.

  4. I am extremely excited, but I've been listening to YoshiP and holding my expectations for the day of release. Like Quazii points out, it's still side content within FFXIV, it's not going to be a whole, fleshed out game inside a game; It's going to be more like a mini-game inside a game. At least for the initial launch. We know they are planning to expand with future patches, which could very well turn it into much more further down the line.
    Having said that… LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

  5. islands seems cool, but i'm very excited for the story and see where its gonna take us. I'm also excited for patch 7.0 because this game needs some graphics upscale i love this game and i think it looks fine, but some of the hairstyle are very pixel and some objects and shadows can be very glitchy at times and I know not everyone get this, but i'm just excited to see the next SaGa for FFXIV, however I will be checking out this island thing lol see how it is lol, but yeah either way im always excited for new content in this game.

  6. Regardless what actually comes with Island Sanctuary's release I am going to be spend a lot of time on that island. Crafting is one of my favorite things to do in the game when there's no MSQ to play. It's a nice relaxing thing to do and even just gathering the parts is nice. I can put on a vid or some music and just take it easy as I mine and harvest things, so this is good content for me just by what little they had told us so far. Whatever else we are going to get with it will be nice as well, but right now my expectations are centered only on what was confirmed so far.
    Oh and also MINION ARMIES RUNNING FREE AT LAST!!! lol. Can't wait to set lose my little horde on the island, even if it turns out we can only have like five out at a time.

    Or whichever is nearest to my character at that point in time.

    But probably MSQ , then on that df queue I'll start unlocking Island sanctuary. This sounds so nice though I already love the game without it.
    So with it, I probably will just love it more.

  8. A correction here.. not sure if someone mentioned it already but, the first screenshot of the revamps they showed isn't steps of faith. It's the final boss in a dungeon in HW I forgot the name of. They're showing the trust NPCs in it.

  9. Tbh, while Island Sanctuary is completely up my alley, my expectations have always been pretty low. Things like "you can only build on the beach with a limit of 40 objects (house, decoration, etc.)" with the rest of the island to be a second eastern La Noscea to be explored, but not tempered with terrain-wise. I've trouble seeing how they could let us fell down all trees and build a tiny city across all terrain, etc. Would open up the door for ruining the mood hard.

    Apparently, people are citing buildings on other parts, so I'd guess my expectations can be uppered to "a few dedicated zones for building through the island" for the definitive version.^^ If it's any more than that, I'll be more than happy.

  11. Possible trivia, but I think those monsters on the dungeon screenshots are designed after the soul or spirit monsters from FFIV that Cecil randomly encounters on Mt. Ordeals. They looked more ghostly on their FFIV sprite but they definitely have the same face.
