  1. I think the VG is probably going to see a lot of play as a secondary Tanking weapon both in pvp and pve. We'll see it paired with sword and board (no taunt gems in the sword, just a foc gem, the taunt gem will be in the void gauntlet); then the void sword and oblivion with the 3rd power being either the scream or rupture or tether depending on the focus of pvp or pve, solo or team. That's not to say these are the best skills, only these would fit a tanking secondary weapon build.

  2. For the way I was looking to play with this weapon (rapier + void gauntlet), the only complaint I have is the is the "Orb of Decay" and the passive "Detonation Orb". First: the particles of the orb while returning is not well visible, specially on "low graphics", which I use to play. Second: I was never able to trigger the heal from this skill and of the detonation seems to not deal damage often, whether to be on the top of the target or in the 4 meters radius. Third: is very bad that the orb returns to the position where was shot, not the current position of the character. Is really hard to get the second effect since you need to keep moving in combat.

  3. Just for side note: you can use normal weapon block as long as the void blade is active and damaging with void blade will give stacks of last passive in each tree.

Ran x4 void gauntlet (no heal) dynasty for memes with full con/focus (200/110 +40 focus food buf and rest into INT) with Void blade, Orb(for mana starvation(swappable for oblivion if u need extra dps buf)) and Essence rupture +passive in annihilation tree. And as a tank I would say it feels a bit weird to get used to, but when you do, there is no way u gonna die, except for big incoming dmg spikes or overpull which u can swap and block with shield+sword. The only issue so far we had is last boss which is pain to deal with as a mele, the rest is selfhealble or kite if not feeling confident.
As tank main with hatchet, void gauntlet is strong competitor to berserk, but even with taunt gem in both weapons you can easily loose agro, unless they add taunt to void blade as well.

  4. I don't like it

Was hoping for a DoT weapon or heavy healing/CC WEP to match with my life staff.

Idk maybe I'm not grasping it well but it doesn't feel good to me from my small play test.

  5. The way I see it, it's a DPS support weapon if you want it to be, being able to drop Oblivion and Rupture and maybe Tether (if it stays after weapon swap) then swap to your main DPS weapon and go at it; you won't even need int or focus for you to take advantage of it. As the game is currently, there aren't very many weapons that help one another because as soon as you swap weapons, the effects go away but if the Void Gauntlet's abilities stay after weapon swap (which I assume it does), then it can be a good option to consider rather than have a secondary weapon that really doesn't do much for you.

  6. They need to implement the healing exp system for light staff. It is so stupit that you gain exp while you're hitting mobs with normal attacks. It just so stupit that you gain nothing while you're supporting them and I have a big respect to healers because of this. While they get a secondary/primary weapon for focus stat user players, this is a good time to fix this for AGS.
