For months now, hordes of idiots have been lurking in my comments sections, aggressively insisting that I need to debate David …

  1. Hey you! Yes you there, the thousandth person coming down here in a hissy fit to tell me how mean and nasty and unprofessional I was to that poor, poor, ignorant flat earther. Stop. You have zero perspective on this situation. Weiss is a con man who lies for a living. He knows he's wrong, he just spews a script of lies to make money on the internet. Politeness is a window to gish gallop and spread more lies, and you can clearly see how angry he got when I pinned him on every lie in his script, pressing him to respond to things he knew he couldn't respond to. He does not deserve respect. He does not deserve decency. He deserves annihilation. He deserves public humiliation. His remaining followers are impervious to facts and logic, the only thing that works is a demonstration of what a sniveling, lying, pathetic little toddler he is. Also, no, he was not polite. The first words out of his mouth were to slander me regarding the content on my channel, and all he did was call me a "dick" every time I proved him wrong. He's a douchebag. And guess what? Even if he wasn't a con man he still should be treated this way, because politeness toward this "issue" would give the illusion of two "opinions" with equal footing. They aren't. The earth is objectively a sphere, as we've known for thousands of years, and anyone who says otherwise is actively calling all of science a lie, and literally all scientists liars. That's insanely offensive. Flat earthers are offensive, toxic, subhuman vermin. This is how you deal with them. Get on board or get out of the way. Got it?

  2. The sad thing for me is that there are actually people convincing other people to take valuable time of their time on earth worrying about a problem, that was never a problem to begin with, and becoming more distrustful towards and fearful of the rest of the community in the process.

  4. This how I see Flat Earther's… Gullible, Ignorant and Needy. They must be a very desperate and lonely people. They have and need each other like the Trekie and Star Wars fans. If they want to spend their hard earned money on these silly beliefs they can. It's like a religion to them. Their false God, is the Flat Earth. I purty them for their ignorance and having no life. As long as they don't push their lies unto others.

  5. Here's my take: it's true that Flat Earthers should be humiliated, however I don't think you would have the same zeal to humiliate a religious person that denies evolution and arguably does far greater damage to science than a few Flat Earth kooks. Not exceptionally brave and daring imho

  6. He's actually right, technically, regarding the plumb line. There are indeed places where the plumb line would not be exactly perpendicular. However, I seriously doubt that current technology could detect that extremely tiny difference.

  7. FlatEarthDave's only proof is "I say so". I say water is dry and the ground is wet and not solid. Green is red. Black is white. I say so and you're wrong. There, that proves it. That's all the proof FlatEarthDave needs.

  8. At 57:31 FlatEarthDave is describing morning sunrise and evening sunset, not the tilt of the axis. OK, now I get FlatEarthDave's question. The axis stays tilted away from the Sun for six months. The spin of the Earth only lasts 24 hours. The hemisphere tilted away receives the Sun's rays at an angle for six months. The decreased angle allows for cooling of the Earth for six months. The daily spin, in only 24 hours does not allow enough time between the more direct rays hitting the surface to cool down while the more steeply angled rays are hitting the surface.

  9. We have a saying in my language… you can wake a man who is sleeping. You can't wake a man who is pretending to sleep.

Flat earthers are like that. All of these arguments are based in bad faith or ignorance.

  10. The size of a human being on this planet is as infinitesimal as a speck of sand on a beach, there is NO area on planet Earth that is completely Flat for a thousand miles so the guy who measured it is a Liar and this guy on your show keeps comparing a bathtub to the freaking ocean! Your insulting 5 year olds when you say he must be 5😂 his level of intelligence is Infinitesimal 😣

  11. I think I understand what the flat-Earth guy was driving at towards the end of the video. He's saying that as the Earth rotates every day, there comes a time in every 24-hour period where the Sun is either not shining at all or shining at the same angle as it is towards Antarctica. So, in his mind, this means we should be at the same freezing temperature as Antarctica every night. He fails to understand that Antarctica is at that relatively wide, oblique angle in perpetuity and never gets a chance to warm up. The Earth has an atmosphere, which traps heat, so we don't just instantly turn into Antarctica every night when the Sun isn't shining.

  13. Hey Dave! I really appreciate you taking the bullet and engaging with those cooks. While you have every right to be angry with a grifter like that, I gotta say I'm not sure what your overall goal was. If it was just to tell him off, that's fair enough and I can relate. On the other hand, if you wanted to convince some of his audience who might be receptive to reason, I think you might not have chosen the best strategy for that. People are not reason machines and I think it makes it a lot harder for people to want to agree with you if you make them feel like you think they're idiots. I do love your content and think it's great that someone is putting out counterarguments consistently. I'm just not sure what your endgame is. Keep up the good work!

  14. Before I start I want to say I am not a flat Earther but I have something that can fix a couple of problems with their diagram if they say that the sun and moon were just appearing and disappearing in the specific points for a certain amount of time then going away and just say their not real or something like that it would be more believable than what they have of course that doesn’t fix every problem they have because you can’t just make something up and assume it fits with reality

  15. Hey everyone, i've just noticed something fishy.

[1:18] – David publicly admits that he believe humans were on the moon (that's obvious by the context because he didn't argue with Dave when he answered positively on question "do you believe we went to the moon?" when he's been "trying" to find some common ground with him).
[5:23] – David in doubt whether moon is solid.

Self-contradiction. How can you be in doubt whether moon is solid or not when you believe humans were on it's surface?

Dave, I think you should point that one to the David's followers. I'm really interested in what they would say.
