This is an unusual trip!
We will go to meet Indiana Jones, float across on a raft to Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island, where the magnificent scenery of Disneyland opens up. We’ll stroll through Critter Country and return to Fantasyland where we’ll slip into the Storrybook Land boat.
And at Toomtoun, an unexpectedly easy line for the Runaway Railroad awaits. And much more.

FreshBaked. David, how come Disneyland alway's feels so big when you are in the park but really it is quiet small? Nice to take a tour around "Tom Sawyer's Island." Sofia's home away from home. Why does "Runaway Railroad" fit so well at Disneyland but does'nt seem to work so well at WDW.? Another enjoyable day. Cheers, Chris Perry.
Absolutely needed this video today. Nice calm relaxing fresh baked Disney. Thank you!
Really enjoyed the peaceful cruise through TSI! Thanks for just allowing the ambience of the island to come through. It's such a beautiful place. Disney did something very special when they created that idyllic place! Truly, the overall narration-free aspect of this video is extremely enjoyable; it gives you the feeling of being there and experiencing each segment as you wish without being forced to take in the elements you are focusing on in most videos. Very nice! Great time of day for Fantasyland with the shadows and afternoon lighting.
What a pleasant trip through Disneyland!
Thank you for going out to Tom Sawyer’s island. It’s so peaceful. I could just go there and sit and unwind. So lovely.
I know this may sound crazy, but mark my words I will be the CEO of Disney one day, and I will bring a new renaissance to the parks and company. ✌️
Wow, its very rare you get to walk onto every ride with very little wait time. I should be so lucky.
Must Enter on the Right and Exit on the Right, by (my) law.
It’s a shame that Tom Sawyer Island is neglected by Disney. Take $200k a year out of Igers compensation and get the small attractions on the island working again. Let kid’s imagination run wild again.
The sounds of the miner digging I had never known about! These are the small touches often off the main paths that make Disneyland the best!
Does Tom Sawyers Island at Disneyland have a fort and Aunt Pollys food stand ,like the one at Disney World ?
Yay! Something GOOD on my phone! Thank you, Fresh Baked!
Great show today. I look forward to these and get excited every time I see a new one posted!! Fresh Baked!
We will be there Monday coming from South Carolina for vacation. What is the temperature like. Our mid 90’s feel like 100-101 with the humidity. Is California similar? We are very excited as it’s our first West coast vacation.

David, do you think they will bring back a Captain America show in the Hyperion to go with the new movie?
Every time I watch M & M runaway railroad, I will now be searching for Big the foot swimming in the water. 😅 Thanks to Provost 😂 lol. I am always looking for all the hidden 🦀 Crustasia and Pluto, too.
I wonder how many photo ops and shout outs David gets in a day?
It's a bummer when the station backs up and you get stuck in the boulder room in Indy. Really kills the excitement of that scene.
One detail I always loved about the Indiana Jones ride is how the generator outside the front entry is synchronized with the dimming lights on the inside.
Most people never notice.
I got a question and since you seem to go to Disneyland nearly every other day of the year I am hoping you can answer this question for me.
Why is Indy ride always closed in the morning when the park opens?
I have gone to Disneyland if I am lucky 2 times a year and each time when rope drop happens Indy is always, “ALWAY” closed for rope drop. Why is this?!
Perfect video on Indy! Your jeep backed up in the boulder chamber long enough for the system timer to fully reset to allow the room to function correctly! Perfect!
Imp always surprised by the small puny trees on Main Street. I remember them larger. Healthier.
Love the guy asking for picture!! David is doing Disneyland right and people know it.
As I've mentioned before in commenting, I worked at the park during the bicentennial spring and summer seasons. I spent most of my time there driving the Tom Sawyer Island Rafts across the river. I usually had the opening shift, so I was there before the park opened and had the opportunity many times to experience the park in pristine shape after the graveyard shift clean-up crew.
This was back when the original fort was still open and allowed guests inside. There, you could get drinks, brownies, and other goodies at the snack bar. In the morning, the snack bar crew would wheel the carts onto a raft, and we would journey down the river to a dock that was right below the fort, unload the carts, and the cast members would have to push them up the hill, over dirt paths, into the fort. During the day, the rafts would be crowded with guests going to the island for fun and relaxation. It was a great place to take your kids and let them wear themselves out.
One of the things I always admired about Disney and Disneyland was their attention to detail and care for the park and its systems. They would have never closed the pontoon bridge for longer than necessary to repair it after something had broken. When I see barriers up around the island, that tells me they don't see the value.
But that was a different era, and the background stories for things like Tam Sawyer were out there and familiar to many kids. Not so much today, and so they don't resonate with guests.
Random question are there places to sit on Tom Sawyer's island like if you want to eat your lunch.
hasnt dead mans grotto been closed for years since we had that one year of crazy humidity and. it broke?
I love how frequently you’re getting shouted out and stopped for pictures. You won’t be able to make these videos without a disguise much longer haha.
