This will probably depress you, but there’s a theory about the party scene that I’ve heard in some circles, and I wanted to bring it up here. Those people from that scene (the old dude, the kid, everyone in the tent) were from the nation that was at war with Marley at the beginning. Based on the religious beliefs of their soldiers, (see season 4, episode 1, where the soldier interacts with Falco), it’s decently likely that these people share the same beliefs. Which means that if they knew that they were partying with Eldians, they would probably have been horrified.
Still only a serious “maybe” because the theory assumes a lot about a culture we know basically nothing about, but it gave me a lot to think about, so I thought it was worth mentioning.

Because of the attack titan's power, it's painful to watch seeing Eren follow the fate that was written to him. Like as if he has no choice to go against it and it was the best plan for his friends and both sides involved.
