New World release the Void Gauntlet! A hybrid intelligence / focus weapon. Skills, talents, abilities, attributes, builds & gameplay will be shown. Void Gauntlet ability shines more in pve than pvp but with the shifting meta that could change. The Void Gauntlet has powerful buffs and debuffs in its skill tree! It also has a melee and ranged weapon mode that can be swapped with skills. I will go over my first impressions of the Void Gauntlet and talk about all the skills while demonstrating their abilities and how they function! I think the Void Gauntlet will be a great weapon to pair with lifestaff and may have some more uses in the future with more testing in the right gear / perks!

I think the void gauntlet is okay at best, it nice and the abilities seem like theyre good when you read what they do but its quite underwhelming while using in game. I still think the mage go-to will be ice/fire
Not what I was expecting from a void gauntlet personally.
I wanted it to be some sort of DoT weapon for both heals and damage.

For a pure healer it looks great …. just that healers need more rewards for the act of healing in the game.
just watching you and seeing the mana usage. I dunno man it seems like a very needy weapon as a whole. ill have to try it myself. but my first thought about it. is it gonna be all about the passives and getting the procs to work. in a method that gives you optimal use. I think of this weapon as a good off tank build. to support the main tank. I think this will be key in pve. to reduce blight effects for mele and tanks in boss fights
Best application of it seems to be for life staff secondary weapon, rolling a FOC conversion gem for more damage, if the healing didn't scale purely off of focus it'd be much more useable for fire staff or ice gauntlet, but as it is it seems more like a potential replacement for life staff on tank builds if they're using that, or a source of better damage for pure focus builds while still giving some healing.
So, Annihilation tree meh, Decay tree garbage, got it.
Such a useless weapon for pvp. 100% does not replace whether IG or Fire staff (both work better together or with rapier), but might be useful for those running life staff. Still useless tho.. it’s basically a support weapon for a support weapon.

I feel like void gauntlet can be melee secondary weapon just for buff and debuff which are not scale by INT or FOC.
