Psalm 7:11 says “God is angry with the wicked every day.” Psalm 5:5 says “God hates all who do wrong” (NIV). How do we understand verses like this and what about the imprecatory Psalms where David calls upon God to destroy his enemies? How does this line up with the teaching that we should love our neighbor and God so loved the world? Watch and find out!

Good study. Thank you
Gosh I'm in Romans and you are so right
About how God hates sin .I have Been trying to reconcile my personal differences
And I can not get there with this person
She is a Christian
It was a wicked sin against me awful and is ignoring my need to
Resolve this. I feel she doesn't want to take any responsibility.?
I feel their was really no relationship she ever had with me .
It was a very good study I needed to hear
It came to me at the right time I'm going to listen to it again and soak in the wisdom you imparted thank you so very very much
Happy 🇺🇸 4th to you and yours
On this subject, why do we confine imprecatory utterances only to the Psalms, while we can see so many prayers in the old testament made by the O.T saints were imprecatory in nature.
The other question if David was right in praying in that manner for his enemies were God's enemy, in the N.T we don't pray in the same manner even though we know that our enemies or the enemies of the gospel are God's enemies. We pray like Jesus on the cross Luke 23:34 or like Stephen in Acts 7:60. I've found no clarity in the scriptures in the N.T to support praying in that manner.
Thank you Pastor Grant for explaining this text.
