  1. Battinson and Batfleck are on equal parts awesome I believe. Pattinson brought the detective side of Batman which we haven't yet seen and Affleck brought the immensely superior physicality (that wharehouse man). Now combine both of them, and it's pretty much the Arkham games version of Batman

One thing I really like is the hint of green light we see when the bat signal activates. Green is the color primarily associated with riddler due to his costume. As the light color shifts from green to a more yellowish/white color it serves as a visual indicator that are we shifting perspectives in the narrative from riddler to batman. Once we get more context it also indicates that our hero and villain will have some commonalities. The light coming on is for the Batsignal, so the presence of the green glow as the signal activates implies a degree of commonality between batman and riddler. It almost serves to imply that there is something rotten at batmans heart or some fundamental flaw with batman as a symbol that Bruce wayne is oblivious to.

  5. The monologue, the darkness, criminals being afraid of the shadows thinking Batman may be lurking there, always feeling like someone is watching them, and Batman using that fear as his tool, that scene grabbed the essence of Batman, so when the film opens with that, you know the creators got the fundamentals right.

  6. All respect to Zach Snyder and Christopher Nolan, but it’s so BLATANTLY obvious that Matt Reeves understands Batman at his core more than most people. I got chills watching this in theaters for the first time.

  7. Just make this the dceu please with Matt reeves on batman and all the movies in this style a more realistic but still comic like take on the characters DC has never been marvel Marvel has never been DC. Dc is the more gritter universe, Marvel is more light hearted but can be serious when need be. Evidence of this is with the difference of both company's most popular character. The Batman is a serious no nonsense methodical planner he uses fear to deter crime. Spider-man is the original merc with a mouth he cracks jokes while fighting jumps right into things. Don't force DC movies to be marvel movies anymore. And marvel please slow down.
