The New World 1.06 patch notes haven’t come out yet, but the PTR is coming out today and along with it are tons of updates, including the trading post link. Once they’re all done testing it, they’ll roll it out. They just want to make sure there are no New World gold dupe exploits with the new trading post probably, and no serious issues with the new void gauntlet class they’re launching.

Before the trading posts get linked, there are some opportunities and risks you need to be aware of. Lots of prices are going to change and these are my best opinions on what to look for now before the trading post link goes live.

  1. My counter take. I think demand for basic mats will go UP. If you can now buy Green Wood in Reekwater for 0.10 and finish your town board quest, you'll just buy it and get it done and so multiply that by 11 territories and yeah. We'll see who's right soon enough.

  2. I disagree with you on potions. For the same reason that you think the low level farming food is going to go down. The mats to make potions are going to go down and so will the potions.

  3. Dude, beaded leather straps (dexterity) for crafting and other crafting materials. Used to sell for .01 but now that everyone is leveling crafting at 60, they are going for 10 gold on my server. These items are insane money makers for people.

  4. All this change will do is create a cluster fuck of people undercutting each other while 90% of their listings expire. Until they create an "average sell price" feature, the market will never be stable.

  5. Love your stuff dude! Always good advice. Im kinda worried on how the taxes will impact sales.. For example, Im wondeirng if now places where they have the tier 4 and 5 crafting stations will go way up in both crafting tax and what you pay to buy there.. effectively making it a profit center for the company that owns it, but making it a lot less desireable as a place to do business. I know I moved most of my stuff out of Monarch's Bluff over the last couple of days due to the new company coming in on my server and jacking up the crafting/refining taxes… made more sense to move my materials and craft elsewhere.

  6. I would say longer grind sessions would increase supply on all drops/materials, thus driving prices on these down, but at the same time, ability to grind longer would come from buying more food/pots, which might eventually drive prices up, eventually landing in pockets of hard working cooks and brewers.

  7. Counter argument for the azoth selling, how many people used to travel to get items? You used azoth to fast travel. Now you don’t need to travel and use azoth to get items. The price for azoth will be reduced.
