  1. 1:02:55 "move us back to 10pm" you are so real and true for this! I've also been slightly disappointed with the fade to blackness of season 2… I mean there absolutely was still fade to blacks in season 1 but there was a little bit more sexual activity shown in season 1… more making out at the very least! Pretty much EVERY single reacter I've seen on YouTube when they get to the painting/coffin scene in season 2 and the fade to black happens they're like "that's all they're going to show us?!?! Thats it? Aw" So it seems like the majority of people were kind of wanting a little bit more in that regard from season 2.. I mean honestly my DREAM would be like True Blood levels of intimacy scenes… There's a lot about that show that I didn't love but I did love how they did sex/intimacy scenes… they made vampires monstrous AND sexy when they fuck, as they should be… But unfortunately AMC as a network doesn't really do explicit sex scenes like that… I didn't really watch a huge amount of The Walking Dead but those who did have said that the show also didn't have explicit sex scenes in it, really. So I guess we're kind of stuck with relatively quick fade to blacks. I'm hoping that the intimacy scenes go back to how they were in season 1 for season 3 but I'm not sure if they're going to take this criticism to heart, unfortunately… Even though it does seem to be a pretty popular one amongst fans.

  2. Thank you, Kirsten, for this comprehensive review of such a devastating episode, and for helping those of us that aren't fully-clued up on the books to navigate the many-layered moments that are planted throughout this tragedy of a 'trial.' I share so many of the sentiments you express, and while I'm not articulate enough to write a whole essay here on how I'm feeling as a result of this episode/season, there are moments that hit me particularly hard (most of which involve Loustat, tbh, but obviously Claudia too).

As for the finale, having reached the conclusion of Claudia's story (aside from hopefully GhostCLaudia) after a long build up to the dreaded event, I've got to say I'm excited to see what's ahead of us now. And I don't mean this from any wish to be insensitive or downplay Claudia's importance at all (thought Bailey AND Delainey made us care SO MUCH about the character) – I just mean in the sense that now this intense chapter has closed, I feel anticipation for what the next one will bring, if that makes sense? Can't wait to see your finale reaction, and look forward to your S3 breakdowns too! Great job!🧡 👏

  3. i have absolutely adored your looks into these episodes, especially the longer ones because i (still) find myself wishing they were longer lol, your views on these episodes are so unique and no matter where i look, no one seems able to recreate it. i absolutely adore the mix of reactions and actual analysis, especially the links to the book as someone who (sadly) still hasn't read them all, it's so so fascinating. so excited for pretty much whatever you'll do next now that this seasons over, but i also think ill be rewatching all of these videos (especially the one on episode 5 !!) again and again until we have a new season. it's truly crazy to me that these get so little traction for what they are, when personally i think they're the best commentaries on the new show by a long shot

  4. Okay so I was just thinking about how old Claudia was when she died in the show. I think she would have been like 40, which is much younger that in the book, because I think she said in season one she was born in 1908 and I think the trial was in 1949 and then I realised she would have been turned in 1922, a hundred years before the second interview, and now I’m wondering if that’s why Louis wanted to do the second interview and now I can’t move my body
