MOTHMANIA! – The Mothman of Point Pleasant, Mothman Legacy, Terror in the Skies, Chicago Mothman!

The Mothman of Point Pleasant – Learn the terrifying, true story about thirteen months that changed history! In November of 1966 a car full of kids encountered a creature unlike anything they’d ever seen before. In the weeks and months to follow, the monster (now known as The Mothman) was sighted again and again on country roads and around the state of West Virginia.

The Mothman Legacy – Many believe the Mothman to be a 1960’s phenomenon, an omen only appearing before tragedy, and disappearing after a flap of sightings and the subsequent Silver Bridge collapse in 1967. And what if…the sightings never ended?

Terror in the Skies – Journey to the heartland of the Midwest and explore an ongoing wave of sightings of a red-eyed, shapeless creature dubbed β€œthe Chicago Mothman”, giant, unknown birds, and encounters with prehistoric flying reptiles.

On the Trail of the Lake Michigan Mothman – In 2017 a rash of sightings of a winged creature spread around Chicago. Now, Small Town Monsters launches their own investigation into the Mothman sightings that spread around Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. Is the Mothman real? Seth Breedlove and Heather Moser pull at the threads of one of the most bizarre paranormal mysteries of the last decade. Along the way they interview witnesses, investigators, and even capture footage of a massive, winged being in downtown Chicago. What are people seeing? What does it mean? Is the Mothman simply an unidentified animal or a misidentified bird? Or is it something far more sinister? The truth is here, and the answers may shock you.

  1. The Hindu lore has countless tales of "rakshasas", shape shifting, mischievous beings of the night, dispelled at day break. John Keel's delineations are suggestive of this as well as ufologist Jacques ValΓ©e . . .

  3. Half way through and so far this has been excellent. Facts, historical context, experiencer interviews, no cheesy reenactments, and no melodrama. This level of quality content is why I subscribe, and why I get excited everytime I get a notification of a new upload ("now" or "upcoming").

  4. I quote "If there is one can we shoot it? If there are two can we shoot them too? "
That sums up precisely why we have had such fleeting, cautious "contact" from anywhere or anyone else in this Universe.
We are brutal, tribal, suspicious and lethal as a species.
    Meet us and beware!!
On this planet we frequently kill our most beloved ones, our children, other folks children, strangers etc etc etc.
Doesn't really say let us lay out the welcome mat does it?

  5. Excellent coverage of a much covered topic. Just one criticism and that is the irritating and intrusive music especially over people speaking. Makes the whole thing sound like one long introduction.

  6. My wife and I have been to Point Pleasent many times. It's right on the Ohio River with a large amphitheater. A friend of ours grew up in the area, she said her father always used the Mothman as a tactic to get his kids home before dark.

  7. I've only been a member for about 2-1/2 years – and very happily so, I might add! There are a lot of videos of all kinds that came out before I'd discovered you, that I'd not gone back and watched. Bigfoot/sasquatch was, and still is, my main interest, although I've learned there are many, many other areas of high strangeness to be explored, and STM has made some excellent documentaries on all sorts of those things. I'm halfway through the Mothman videos (watching just one at a time), which I'd not seen before, and they've both been fascinating, as well as very well done. Lots of food for thought, for sure!

  9. I don't know if these creatures exist, I hope some do (not the bad ones), but I doubt it. That said, I like a mystery and your videos. You don't have to be a believer to enjoy the stories.
