    I had to watch this as a HUGE fan of the original Sonic Shorts from the Newgrounds days! and speaking of the original Sonic Shorts… I'd LOVE to do a reaction to them! So let me know and let's see OVER 2,000 LIKES for it!

  6. 7:45 It's nice to see him have the Wisps like Jade Ghost Wisp go into Sonic's body through his tummy. I wonder what the Wisps do while they're inside him. Someone needs to make something like that on Deviantart.

  13. Heh heh heh, you’re “wait, didn’t we see this earlier” reaction is exactly what I had planned (animator of the butterfly effect shorts btw). The only clue that scene is actually different is the fact that the music swapped from the Japanese CD soundtrack to the USA version.

  16. When I watched this myself, I didn’t notice Wakko at all. Only when you pointed him out and I rewound this video a couple seconds back did I manage to see him among the echidnas, even if it was only a brief glimpse.

    I could tell it was Wakko by the red hat and light blue shirt.

    Vector interrupting the SonAmy wedding is a reference to the very first Sonic Short of e very first Volume, in which he interrupts Sonic and Amy as they’re about to get freaky in bed. He’s shown in the art style of the animator who created that first Short.

    Also, you may not have noticed, but in the line of Sonics waiting to discuss the butterfly issue, one character is a version of Sonic with black fur, green rings on his quills, and a red forelock. He’s also from a previous Sonic Short, specifically the one that tells you how to create your own Möbian OC.

  25. Volume 8 Widescreen edition was release 8 years ago as re-uploaded for better quality, BUT, the original Volume 8 that has non widescreen was release nearly 11 years ago.
    and im so happy my childhood series comes back 🙂

    His name is Scourge
    He comes from the preboot Archie comics and is basically just Sonic from an alternate universe where good and evil are swapped.
    The background characters are the Freedom Fighters, who are basically the Resistance from Sonic Forces but actually good (writing wise)
