I think Butcher's powers are going to be a cross between Venom from Spider Man and Moon Knight where he has this completely alternate personality thing going on and doesn't remember what happens whenever the parasite takes over.

Anthony Starr is such a terrific actor, the entire time he was at that Lab, I was afraid that he might Laser someone at any moment. The fear was real. He has to get an Emmy for his role as the Homelander.

Nah I think taking the compound V gave the parasite that was already in him the powers and not Butcher. The parasite protects its host until it’s done feeding off of him. Marie Moreau will end up being the one saving butcher with blood bending.

Some clarification: Hughie took off his jacket that had the Compound-V in the pocket. When he left to get coffee, that is likely the same serum she used on his dad. Apparently, she saw him pocket the serum before he walked out leaving his jacket behind.
Becca is gonna be Billy’s alter ego ..similar to brock n venom except Billy’s slowly dying while the parasite resides within him …Billy blacks out , parasite take over n annihilates ppl Billy wakes up to room blood ..parasite manifests itself as Becca so it can “communicate” with him

At 24:04 I’m somewhat certain it was Hughie’s mother who stole HIS Compound V from his jacket and gave it to the father.
When he put V back to pocket and she entered the room, she saw both of his hands in the jacket, he then took off the jacket and went out of the room to get some drinks.
I’m sure she searched his jacket, found Compound V and gave it to father.
Also, I think, judging by the looks of the mother in those scenes, she knows quite a bit more than she let Hughie know either about herself, or what she’s really doing.

Something fucked up I noticed is that the scientists gave him the name John. Probably alluding to John Doe. The name you give someone when you don’t know their name. No one cared. They never even viewed homelander as a person, just a product and lab experiment that they can do with as they wish.
