  1. I think the extra attack thing was to cover potential problems. I did hear kroot players talking about using the Rampager fists as normal attacks since they're dramatically better than the rider attacks.

  2. Guard got shafted, absolutely no reason to think they would be better under any circumstances given they've never exceeded a 47% win rate the whole of 10th ed. The new born soldiers is limiting for no reason and doesn't even work for almost a third of the army, arty is worse despite being fine after the last MFM and now infantry heavy lists are much worse because a Nids swarm list won a GT. All because GW wants us to spam LR and RDs to empty their warehouses – so I wouldn't exactly call that "interesting".

  3. Out of reserves a unit has to be 9.01" away so a model still needs to roll a 9" in order to charge in the first place. So if the oblong based unit doesnt roll that 9, they dont even get to pivot to get a bonus 1".

  4. Obviously you’ll always need to roll a 9 out of deep strike. Regardless of pivoting, a charge value is static, there is no magical mid-charge phase jank that allows you to pivot and suddenly need 8” when you’re over 9” away just because a model can theoretically pivot on an axis to change its relative spatial relation. I hate this rule because there is not even a need to move a rhino parallel to its tracks when you interpret this rule at face value. There is no field of vision or weapon facings for models either. It’s arbitrary and asinine

  5. Doomsday Ark is 6 inches long, and its on a round base, so its Pivot Value is 0. It can rotate for free, so it will be able to do a 6 inches charges out of deep strike easy, or just move 3 inches more than it should

  6. Ruins DID change their visibility rules btw. Now if a model stands within the ruin, the whole model is visible. Before this change you only was able to see part of the model that is within the footprint of the ruin, but not the rest of the model

  7. about pivot
EDIT: Nevermind, there is a rule defining a round base as a circle not an oval or similar.

you can ignore this, unless you were about to ask:
so is an oval base still a round base? I assume yes, or do they mean only perfect circle bases?

  8. so I dont understand the charging through terrain section at 57:00… can I now position my models like 1.2 inches behind a wall so that no enemy model may fit beweteen my models and the wall, so I can not be charged period?
because models also can not move OVER my models to charge me right?
also a monster or vehicle will never be able to charge me?
I dont understand, please someone clarify for me
