This was a Dutch roll not a barrel roll, a Dutch roll is harmless probably an issue with the Yaw Demper.

Boeing AND Southwest are NOT a good combo. They both have lost my confidence and when I fly domestic it has almost always been Southwest. I just don't trust either of them. Just too much of that stuff going on.
Unless a Dutch roll is sudden and violent, it shouldn't damage the plane. Some aircraft have a tendency to do Dutch rolls under certain conditions but they are slow and controllable. More software issues for the Max?
