It sounded like he said we get to heaven by developing our virtue, rather than Jesus' Saving Sacrifice. Doesn't the Bible teach we get to heaven by faith in Jesus, and our works, beyond accepting Jesus, are only for heavenly reward?
This was an outstanding homily. It confronted the ills of our society as they exist today. Something that a number of priests are reluctant to do. The statement that government is becoming the religion of the people is unfolding before our eyes.
Lord please you know what we need❤
