Grand Admiral Osvald Teshik was given command of the Imperial Center Oversector, which included Coruscant and several other important Core worlds. He was one of Palpatine’s most trusted leaders, and was given the super star destroyer Whelm as his flagship. After failing an important mission for the Emperor, he was sent into a hopeless assault against an overwhelming enemy in the Hapes Consortium. Teshik survived against all odds, but required cybernetic parts to be installed on three quarters of his body. He was present at the Battle of Endor, and refused to retreat along with the rest of the fleet after the Death Star’s destruction. After four more hours of fighting, his ship was disabled and the Grand Admiral was captured. He was subsequently put on trial for war crimes, convicted, and sentenced to death by the New Republic. #starwars

I think of Teshik after Thrawn, Zaarin and Pelleaon because of how he is that rare GA that was actually in the service his whole life with a huge military career. I remember an entry written by him in the Essential Guide to Warfare that was meant to be his final speech before his execution. He had an epiphany and vision of the eternal warfare of the galaxy and laughed at the New Republic executioners for thinking their victory over him meant the end of conflict forever.
He was a very whelming officer.
Now, are we "sure" he was executed?
Now exactly what war crimes was he tried for? Because I get a terrible feeling his crime was just being a high ranking military officer on the side that lost
Got the whole terminator eye going on there
Hot take: Just because a Star Wars villain is a cyborg, that doesn't make him as cool as Darth Vader.
Wow, a character who actually had to face the consequences of his actions, that’s something you hardly ever see in Star Wars
Question: the Whelm would not have been present at Endor, so which ship was Teshik using? And, why was Piett still in charge of the fleet?
Let's just agree, that he surely has the most interesting character design of all the Imperials.
