Bethesda is one of the biggest studios within the Xbox portfolio, with its latest and arguably most anticipated title Starfield releasing on Xbox Series X/S, and PC in 2023. This huge Xbox Game Pass title had gameplay revealed earlier this year to provide a glimpse into what we can expect.
Built on an improved engine, The Creation Engine 2, the game shows clear strides over Fallout 4 and other previous titles. Space travel, world building, rendering technology, and more are all covered here in our IGN Performance Preview.

How to try and make a video out of nothing and make it boring 😴
They couldn't do this crap after scrolls 6
It's gonna be another bland, depthless bug filled Bethesda game. The story and world design won't even touch the likes of New Vegas.
Not having Space-Planet transition like NMS is a big down for me
Looks like star citizen but it might Ctually release
This is why people hate ign.
Waiting very much!
Bethesda did not "bring us" the fallout series
That music though, it's amazing
2 shell shotgun in the future… haha.. all right.
👎🏼
The way the character walks is exactly like fallout 4.
Not expecting anything groundbreaking.
Honestly doesn’t look that great
It's crazy how Starfield is breaking the mold with space games, which are usually very niche. I've met random people while walking my dog at the park and we've ended up talking about Starfield because really most gamers are now expecting its release.
It's still way to early to make a graphical review
Crash to Desktop
Looks Hella boring
Surely Bethesda won't mess up this time (tbh though hope they make this an big W)
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII'm gunna wait and see…
The Reshade modders are gonna go crazy lmao
My guess is this game is going to be less base building, less grindy, less rpg, and more fps, compared to No Man's Sky.
Excellent insight into this trailer. Not sure why this got so much hate. IGN has made some massive blunders in the past but this is certainly not one of them. People just love to hate.
Why so many dislikes?
Bethesda = Downgrade and Bugs 🤨
