Suspect Hijacks Bus After Allegedly Killing Passenger: Cops



A 39-year-old suspect hijacked a bus after allegedly killing a bus passenger, according police. The deadly ordeal started in downtown Atlanta. Cops say the hijacker forced the driver to drive through the city and then onto Highway I-85. The ride came to an end when the bus was rammed by a tank-like bearcat SWAT vehicle. Joseph Grier was taken into custody. The other passengers were not physically harmed. The 39-year-old suspect will be charged with murder, among other offenses, according to authorities.

  1. When he said he was having a manic episode someone should have listened to him. That was an out cry for help. The food court shooting pushed his mental chemical imbalance over the edge. I'm not making an excuse for him and he SHOULD NOT be free with 19 felonies. but we need to be more aware of court cry signs especially if you're interviewing people moments after a traumatizing situation like a food court shooting. I remember back in the day EVERYONE would be transported to the jail just for observation. Now they just send people home to deal with their truama reaction as they please (hijack a bus, beat their family, get drunk….)

  2. So there was police at the food court scene and he told the interviewer he was having a manic episode and about to do something dangerous and neither the interviewer nor camera person told the police 😮

    FR though…. 19 felonies, and dude is just free to go commit more… After 5 felonies, they might as well throw them in Jail and throw away the key.

  4. I work as an EMT in Atlanta, I was enroute to that call, hearing the reports being made over the radio, a gunshot victim in cardiac arrest was the saddest thing I’ve heard.
