All a kicker needs to do to win MVP is consistently hit 60-65 Yards FG’s. A team would be unbeatable if they had a kicker hitting from 60 yards out 85+% of the time. And the Kicker in that scenario would have the overwhelming majority if his team’s points for the season. Even more than the QB because as soon as you hit midfield, you’re now fully in Field Goal range and so your offense would run the ball a ton to kill the clock/play safe and then just kick long FG’s if all breaks down.
Has anyone explained why they keep that 5 minutes at the start for the countdown of the show. Figure that could be cut out pretty easily.
