The New World voidbent armor set was the most powerful and broken thing in the game. But because of the bug fix to resilience now it lost a significant amount of power.
Many people in my company keep asking me whether or not they should still be spending all that money to get voidbent, or settle for something else. In this video I’ll give you all the definitive answers, and the reasoning, so you can make a clear decision on what armor set to get in New World patch 1.05.

luck in pvp will be a factor when they buff drops from killing people… =/ i think they mentioned that they are doing that.
Voidbent was cool while resilient was bugged but crafted will def be the true endgame gear.
The thing that kills me with the armor series is the light version is strength and not dex/int or something.
It’s more or less a pve farming set. Is it worth it? Probably just to ensure you are running max luck gear for farming. That being said I farmed all of the void bent stuff myself so i didn’t have to blow gold.
Also just curious what server you are on?

voidbent if you are a straight con tank, otherwise craft with 200 armoring/food buffs/trophies/armoring suit. making a bunch of armor for people will be better for your company financially than buying a handful of people voidbent.

I mostly PVE healer so I will prob go for voidbent first then go from there, at least 4/5 pieces

This game is designed backwards you could only find 591 gear and craft the best items in the game which are 600 no skill just bot farming rocks and trees boooooring

One thing you got wrong is that there isn't away to guarantee 600gs on the Furlined ori set. Max change is 595-600 with all buffs included. So even the best armorer only has 1/6 change to get 600gs armor. Otherwise, I still agree with your assertions
Something I did for myself was the Dungeon Replicas. The heavy armor gives con already and I can then select another perk that I want. It diminished a good amount of variables and had a reasonable GS as well. The only sad part is that it's untradable. Not an issue if you can craft it.

Correction it was a fix not a nerf. You can still put slash or strike resistance.
Nerfing and Fixing something that was broken are two different things.
Is there a good gear to get from drop? Crafting is the worst and most boring shit. I just wanna farm or leave.
Voidbent FTW. Best all purpose set. Not gonna swap it until 600+gs is in the game.
Extra info on Armoring; getting a 600GS piece of gear is 1/6 with full Major trophy, 1/9 with Basic, 1/12 with Minor. So its pretty hard to get 600 even when crafting with high-end materials.

Even with a perfect armorer who always hits 600 GS (and anything less is strictly useless if hitting 500 attribute points is your priority), the chance of getting 3 PVP perks is extremely low. You're dreaming if you think you can get three pieces of BIS armor for the same cost as a set of Voidbent armor. And even then, you have three slots of looted armor.
makes me lul watching all these voidbent geared players rushing to loot tiny boxes which have no value, meanwhile I found 3 legendary trophy using my 1K coin luck gear just purely from target farming large boxes in many zones.
I have max armorsmithing and have all the buffs before making people stuff. I made enough from that alone to flat out buy my voidbent and still have plenty of gold leftover (around (160k left).
my biggest thing is just that it's not very good for pvp. with that reduced physical armor you're just gonna get melted by bows and muskets, which in my opinion are a lot harder to avoid than magic. I don't want to spend upwards of 100k on my server for a set of armor that is only useful in pve
you should correct your video. it didn't get nerfed it got fixed. it was bugged. nerfed would mean it was working as intended
They can fix the crafting issue in this game if they let you control more perks…like getting to select the stat buff you want plus 2of3 perks. That would make crafting much more worthwhile

Dryad guard armor. The heavy expedition replica for Gen. Guaranteed to be pure con. Use a weapon charm to get the ability trait you want. Then you have a 1/6 chance to roll resilience. Only issue is it's BoP.
