you aren't very smart if you don't see the issue with losing to flees to a 1 enemy ship.
Nice fairy tale. Little or no semblance to reality. Enemy strength(except numbers)/weaknesses vs human's unclear. I don't know ur constraints while make this story, so some leniency is allowed.

Ghod, I'm sick of the excessive use of "ingenuity" besides, true smarts would be to have at least one extra ship standing off, just in case. The entire fate of the species is too great a danger to simply leave to chance. Mankind's power is not "ingenuity" but rather understanding the principle of failsafe
