These movies are entertaining westerns. However seems like all these older ones about Wyatt Earp and the shootout I have to watch with a 5 lb bag of salt because they are so riddled with inaccuracies and ridiculous elements. Some can be easily ignored as artistic license, like the placement of Tombstone within close proximity to the buttes of Monument Valley, and that the town has about 6 buildings as they had to build the set in such a remote location, but the only historically accurate part is that Wyatt and the Earps, with Holliday, engaged in a gunfight with Clantons and their followers. About as historically accurate as the original Star Trek episode about this theme.

This is a great movie.
John Ford was a storyteller and a poet of the West, not a documentarian. My Darling Clementine was about the Myth of the West, never intended to present its reality. There are plenty of documentaries out there that present the hard, cold facts. Just enjoy the artistry of John Ford and Henry Fonda.
Walter Brennan and Linda Darnell make this movie great!

I love old westerns and I'll give this one an A+. It doesn't present an accurate picture of the OK Corral gunfight but I won't take off points for that minor flaw.
Dr Halliday had TB It changed him for the worst. But Mr Mature played the role brilliantly. However, wasn't Halliday a dentist?

The film was far from the real story. But Henry Fonda, Victor Mature, Walter Brennan and all the others along with their dialogue was fantastic. Gives you a great appreciation for early cinematography. Much obliged muchacho 🐎🏜️
this is an excellent movie. i'd watch it again but if a channel chooses not to run the film credits, i block them. so long suckers!

This is NOT about a gunslinger! 'My Darling Clementine' (1946). It's about the famous wild west marshal Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday, and the gunfight at the OK Corral with the Clantons.
