boo……..ad into an ad..come on man.
Love your content but this is silly. If you want a new PC, then just build one and have fun. Worrying about what comes next all the time takes the fun right out of it. Stop worrying about getting perfect value and get to building!!
every day i pray my 2019 1660super doesnt randomly shut down
Make sure you get pictures of Steve and Linus hugging like the old friends they are at Computex!
So I know this. But still want to any way
In the U.S. our government is going to bring back tariffs of up to 25% for computer parts that are produced in China. If you plan on building a new computer you will want to do it before October 1st which begins the 1st quarter of the U.S. fiscal year. I was going to wait until DEC2024/JAN2025 but that's off the table now. I've already picked up a couple of components but what I really need to get is a motherboard, processor, memory, fans, and Windows 11. KC
Having painfully lost a laptop due to some stupid distraction while drinking something I cannot fathom the idea of having any kind of liquid near my electronics, much less water cooling them regardless of how 'safe' they claim it is.
If you want cheap power that will still last 3 or 4 years AM4 is still viable.
Paul rocking a Noctuaish theme
Paul, is there a way to add more RAM than those allowed in the 4 slots on the motherboard to a PC?
Spoiler alert! Whenever your wife says you can. 😁
NEVER!
Always wait for the next gen! Aand when it arrives, you don't buy it and wait for the next gen. Great way to save money!
I've found Back to School sales to be great for electronics. There's less of a rush compared top the holiday season and they have been comparable to black friday sales, too.
I appreciate your videos for giving me the confidence to build my first gaming pc. . I had a sub $2000 budget, ended up going with a ryzen 7800x3d, Radeon 7900xt, with a MSI X670e gaming plus Wi-Fi motherboard, and 32 gigs of ram. It came out well, and looks great. So once again, thanks Paul.
4:43 Tearing happens even with G-Sync on when you exceed the monitor's refresh rate if you do not have V-sync enabled, and if you also you don't cap your max frame rate 1 less than your monitor's refresh rate.
Can't believe Paul didn't mention this. He didn't answer the actual question correctly and just defaulted to "You didn't enable G-Sync correctly hurr durr". You need BOTH G-Sync and V-sync on.
This is what Nvidia actually recommends, and Blurbusters has tons of writeups on this.
The best time to build a pc is the day after you just built one
Still running a 2016 built x99 5960X rig and its time for a new build. Does what I want raw performance wise and I've sweated it good as an asset but I want more NVMe and other stuff to get the best from my 6700XT. Was looking for the end of the year.
Cool !
Not now? Too late. I have already gotten most of the parts of my first PC for around half off. And these are current generation parts.
"When is the best time to build a new PC?" Never! ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH………………………………………………………………………………
During the biggest sales?

I'm not TRYING to be sexist here, but it's telling that the girls chose form over function. Just saying. There are some general differences between men and women.
A Classical understanding sees the world primarily as underlying form itself.
A Romantic understanding sees it primarily in terms of immediate appearance.
The Classical's survive fine in modern society and advance it, to everyone’s benefit.
The Romantics need the Classical's to survive in modern society, then they decorate it for their own benefit.
A computer is a tool, Classical in form and function.
To Romantically decorate it is like putting a Spanish Saddle on a hog.
Its Romantics attempt to Deny their Reliance upon the Classical.
Its living in Fantasy rather than Reality.
This Romantic Fantasy view is fine when children, but detrimental when becoming adults.
Pointing this out is not Gate-keeping, its the Healthy Journey back to Reality.
Living a Romantic life of Dependence and Denial is not healthy on you or society.
As an adult you learn every choice has its benefits and problems, Give and Take.
Classical's mostly give, Romantics mostly take.
Are you Substantial or Superficial… The choice is yours.
My MOTTO, buy "new" stuff, that is at least 1 to 2 years old ! Just NEVER buy the NEWEST tech !!!
So, just before NEW stuff releases !
The best time to build a PC is usually during the day, so you can see what you are doing. But not too early, so you have time to wake up and feel at your best.
when you need to
In regards to screens and performnace how important is the quaility of the cable. I have a samsung 4k screen and it was experiencing some issues, most of the adivce I received was to dicth the DP cable that came in the box and purchase a higher quality one. So how do I know what is good cable. do I go DP or HDMI.? PC is used for both work and gaming
2:41 lmfao
Build a computer whenever
I have some old PC parts and would like to donate them if possible. Are there any organizations that take this kind of thing? I don't have enough to assemble an entire system and it seems that's what places want rather than just parts.

I have a build question. Most YouTubers concentrate on gaming builds. Can you provide a build for the every day user? Surfing the web, watching various streaming services and some retro gaming- arcade, N64, PS2. Nothing flashy.
