About Clanfolk:
Clanfolk is an elaborate, challenging life sim set in the highlands of medieval Scotland. Live off the land, survive and grow your Clan’s settlement. Every tile on the map has a purpose and where you place your settlement, and how you build it, really matters. The largest threat to your Clan will be nature itself and while food will initially be plentiful and the nights warm, as the seasons change resources will dwindle and careful planning becomes critical. Surviving your first winter won’t be easy…
Choose where to begin your homestead, in a wilderness surrounded by mountains, forests, grasslands, and lakes. Over time you may develop it into an industrial farm, or a livestock ranch, or a bustling trading post, or a quiet forest Inn, or maybe a hidden mountain fortress.
Create unique structures, use fire to light rooms and vent heat to adjacent buildings, till the land, harvest, and care for livestock.
From birth until death, your clan will live their whole lives over multiple generations. They’ll follow daily schedules, wake before sunrise, take their morning meals, wash, change and have conversations before the day begins. Throughout the day, they will work as hard as their mood and health will allow and in the evening, they finally come back together to eat, drink and sleep before they do it all over again.
Grow your clan’s skill proficiencies that can be passed down from generation to generation. See to their needs of hunger, sleep and warmth, tend to their moods and nurture your clan through multiple life stages (babies, juveniles, adults, seniors).
Visitors will occasionally arrive from neighbouring clans surrounding your homestead. Over time your reputation with these clans can grow based on how they are treated as guests, workers, or traders. As your reputation with them increases, contact will strengthen, providing better opportunities.
Each neighbouring clan comes from a unique biome filled with different products and desired items for trade. The savvy player can run a profitable trading post if there is enough trade traffic from these neighbouring homesteads. As seasons progress, different items become more scarce and therefore more expensive.
Winter in Clanfolk is always approaching and your time needs to be spent wisely. Each Season has ranges of temperature, rain, snow, wind, and even windchill. Some seasons are for growing and others for harvesting. Winter is for staying inside a warm and cozy room toprocess the materials collected throughout the year.
Seasons play a key part in Clanfolk’s gameplay, with environmental effects (such as moisture) impacting on flammability of objects or ground fertility. Understanding season transitions and being prepared for them is key to survival.

"RimWorld has two materials, Stone and Wood" excuse me?
Rimworld has two materials? Bruh… C'mon now.
this looks great and all, but can one of your pawns go wandering on a psychosis for 24 hours after her same sex asexual crush made a nasty comment on how she cooked breakfast? and can I harvest the organs of my fallen ennemies after enslaving them and getting them hooked on crack for killing my favorite alpaca? if not my heart will stay with rimworld. In an appropriately refrigerated container
Katherine: "This game is very complicated."
Me: "How complicated can it be?"
Katherine: "We have a wash zone, where we wash our hands…"
Me: sweats profusely
For some reason, I really want a "localization" of this game into the Proto-Indo-European language.
Not something that I would play.
I just can’t shake the this feels like rimworld thoughts to me.
I've been obsessing over the demo for the last few days leading up to the release and I am obsessed. When you can play the same 10 in game days over and over again you know it's a winner
So after watching this whole series I went hunting for more! Watching people only pick up like 3 sticks and 4 berries was 😳 shocking! I was so used to KoS working everyone to death 🤣
How much will this game cost? It looks really interesting.
Actually the top left corner of the screen tells you what you are hovering over (flax, etc.)
DUDE! Your intro makes me want to immediately purchase this game without watching your video!! I need to CHILL! GOSH!
8:35 They do tell you what they are, in the little black information box, in the top left, when you are over them with the mouse.
Flutes for entertainment? This is Scotland right, where are the bagpipes?
This sucks
Bought it on your reference. =)
Eww, makes you apreciate rimworld's graphics
This game looks like shit
The oats or type of grass is shown top left when hovering but it’s subtle
This is rimworld 2.0 release but like not..
So…what the devs are saying is you find ways to break things in new, novel, and unforeseen ways!
Hi from YNAO🙋
I play that game 3 days and want buy it … best game👩💻
Haha, I just bought this game and am playing it while listening to you in the background, and heard you say not to build anything out of stone as I'm working on a stone floor for my house XP
I don't really agree this is rimworld steroids rimworld is so customized
In case it hasn’t been clarified already, running the cursor over any part of the terrain reveals exactly what it is in the information box (hud) on the upper left side of the screen.
I don't like you can't control the pawns tho.
