Grandmother murdered in Compton drive-by shooting



A gunman remains at large after a grandmother was killed in a drive-by shooting in Compton. The incident was reported Monday in the 700 block of South Holly Avenue shortly before 11 p.m., according to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.

The victims were identified by loved ones as Beverly Wilkins, 59 and her boyfriend. The couple had just returned from dinner and was parked across the street from Beverly’s home. That’s when a suspect drove up and shot at their car before speeding away, police said.

  1. Where are the BLM protestors? An innocent black woman, mother, grandmother was gunned down…. Rev Al Sharpton? Dont care at all right?…..Seems pretty racist when they pick and choose battles based on race

  2. It's almost like black people that live in these dangerous neighborhoods are so used to this happening that they don't even have any type of emotion to show for! And it's amazing that the boyfriend just had minor injuries when he was also sitting in the car with her!
