2 WEEKS?? Why bother to build huge underground shelters that only keep you alive for 2 WEEKS? Nuclear winter and radiation levels would prevent living outside of them for a century or more. I want to clarify that Puerto Rico native animals, never included monkeys. The government allowed the experimentation with monkeys in Puerto Rico and allowed the company to leave the island and released the monkeys to the wild, disregarding safety of the citizen. Shame on the government.

Niihau is ONLY for NATIVE HAWAIIANS. I know this for a fact as I lived on Oahu while in the Navy in the early 1970's and had a cpuple of Hawaiian native friends. One was a Lawyer and he was involved with the group that helped those wanting to move to Niihau. You had to prove your family lineage.Not many live there because you have to be willing to live pre-industrial as the first Hawaiians did.
